yes each section is 1 Metre long and they connect to each other, this is an excellent product.

Hi can you cut the channel to size and join a ubend pipe

Yes you can cut them down. Join the gutter at the pipe fixing end ( for your u bend) then cut to size. A tip is to cut with lid on , it'll be easier.
