Body Back AccuMassage Tool - Neck Massager for Pain Relief Deep Tissue

What a neat gadget! I have bought and tried so many massage and neck therapy gadgets over the years. I must say, this is definitely up there in usefulness. It is very well designed, easy to use (not too much effort to use), and targets the tight knots on my neck area as well as feet and legs. It has two soft but firm balls that you can screw in to three slots (on each side) that gives you the ability to change the space between the two balls. It takes very little energy to use the device, so no straining to self massage. I highly recommend it. I am going to buy another one for my mom. She will love it too!

This works perfectly for hitting the pressure points in the neck. I really like how you can adjust the spacing between the balls by selecting the threaded hole to use. It has helped loosen up my overly tight neck muscles. It is also very well constructed. I don't know how that other reviewer managed to break it.

This is a great product. It has lost some stiffness in the bridge area but I have been using it pretty consistently. It seems to wobble from side to side more but not so much so that its unusable. Normal wear and tear kind of thing. I have tried placing the balls on the inner holes and the middle holes and have found that the two outside holes are the only placement that makes it worthwhile. This allows the balls to have a wider grip and more force when used. I did a lot of YouTube surfing and found a few videos demonstrating how to use this guy better. Just type AccuMassage and there will be a few videos that are definitely worth looking at. The guy who does the Acu-Masuer is weird but gives great examples. I haven't used his version of the device. I have found that the best use for this guy has been for my legs. It massages tendons like a boss. I love using it for the back of my knees and my calves. I have very muscular hamstrings and quadriceps but this thing doesn't mind at all. It handles them all the same. Its also a dream to use on your glutes. The device works very well on the back of the neck and the traps. I also can get very good use on my upper and lower arms and even my lower back. The only place I've had trouble using it is on my rhomboids or between the shoulder blades. The device just doesn't bend in the right places to reach that area. My family loves this thing and like I said, I use it pretty regularly and it helps relieve pain and soreness here and there. Nothing beats a real massage but this is a cheaper alternative. All in all, I'm happy with the AccuMassage and can recommend it to you.

About to order my third one of these...The idea behind it is great, but for those of us who need true 'deep tissue' work, the product as it is just isn't up to the task. The problem seems to be where the handles screw in near the rubber golf ball portion of the unit. The hollowed out plastic just isn't designed to take the stress at the connection point, and the unit breaks. The company gladly replaced the first unit, and I've subsequently purchased 2 more (1 for home, 1 for work--> a good idea if one is hunched over a computer screen all day). I've since "jerryrigged" the units I have by drilling a hole at the end of the handle and procuring a small metal rod at the hardware store that runs the length of the unit and provides needed support at the all important 'connection point' on the unit. But the bigger question should be: Why should one have to do this? I would gladly pay another $X for a unit which was made of stronger plastic or whatever. You know the product's makers are aware of the problem when they warn you on the box it comes in not to stress it 'too hard' (or whatever the wording is). PLEASE REDESIGN THIS PRODUCT. Go ahead, charge more. You'll still sell a ton. Because as anyone with neck (or calf) pain will see, IT WORKS!

Any bad reviews for this thing I don't understand. In theory it's a good idea, and during use it's an even beter idea. Some people might find it too rough, it's definitely not meant for a light all around massage, this is targeted relief. The Acu-Masseur looks like an S&M torture device, but there is no doubt of what it is, it's so good at it's intended function. If it should for some reason break, as a couple of reviews describe, don't be discouraged, just return it and get another one. Mine is perfectly flexible in the middle and sturdy in the hand. I am a well-endowed woman and sit at a desk for the majority of my days. Despite conscious efforts to correct my posture, over time, my head slowly winds up in front of my neck. Pain! Lots of pain and tension. The Acu-Masseur looks like an S&M torture device, but there is no doubt of what it is, it is that good in it's intended function. It has basically rendered professional/expensive spa massages unnecessary. I have had it for one week and I have already noticed a marked improvement in my neck/shoulder tension and posture. This thing is like conducting your own personal shiatsu symphony. It's everything I want to happen in a professional massage that never does. I can't say enough about it! I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Pros: Amazingly and Eye-Rollingly therapeutic, easy to use once you get the hang of it. No moving parts, just the joint in the middle that bends. Cons: None really if you don't count taking time to practice using it and it looking like a weird sexual device.

3/4/14 update. It is ^not^ strong - I bought 2, the 1st broke when I tried it out, which they replaced, then the 2nd broke {handle} a few days ago, and the last one {the center piece} just now snapped on me! I'm so angry because my neck is killing me and when this stayed together, it really worked!!! Original post: I was thrilled mine came so quickly - just 2 days after I ordered them {I purchased two, since I'd read reviews where the handle snapped} and while I love the idea, and it did provide relief, I'm afraid to even try the second one out now! I had developed a horrible tension headache, but less than 5 minutes after I started using it, the center piece just snapped in two - in the center of the fulcrum. I had the balls situated on the outermost threads at the time. I had just moved them from the middle and was {successfully} releasing my trigger points when it just gave. Looking at it, it broke almost perfectly in two, leading me to think the design is faulty, yet seeing "Made in Taiwan" lends itself to the culprit being poor materials used in production. If the former is the case, I'd suggest a low tension type of coil, covered by rubber/material to protect and contain if the coil ever sprang. This would give some resistance, and strengthen the center piece.

Edited: I’ve had this product now for almost six months! It still is as amazing as day one. I tell all my friends about it and often let others borrow mine to feel the relief. I love to see the reactions when they use it! Pure amazement that something so small can feel so good!!! One of my favorite things is I now take less meds for my migraines. I promise, you won’t be disappointed if you by this product!! This product is amazing! If I could give it 10 stars I would! I have had neck issues for years! Tension headaches are my worst enemy! I get them daily! I have many things that I’ve bought over the years to help, but I know just from using this once that this is going to be the favorite! I used to have my kids and husband pinch my neck and shoulders as hard as they could to relieve the pressure. BUT not anymore! I can do it and apply as much pressure as I need to! My pain relief is immediate! I love my tennis balls that I use for my neck, but this will target the same spots and I can apply more pressure! I love the cord that is attached so you can use it on the shoulders! So genius! Also, I am excited to take this traveling because it is so compact!! Best purchase ever! If you need the target pressure to relieve pain and pressure, this is the massage tool for you!

This product works as described. I was surprised at the durability of it as I was expecting something a bit more flimsy. I suffer from chronic headaches and many of them start at the base of my neck (very difficult to massage yourself) I have tried using tennis balls and foam rollers to roll out the muscles but they never seemed to get into the right spot. with the Accu-Massage you can find the tender muscles and apply as much or as little pressure as needed. I now use this twice a day to help relax my muscles and prevent further tension headaches. I am considering getting a second one to keep at the office.

I don't normally review items I've bought but this worked so well I felt compelled to go ahead and write a review. So for the last few years I have suffered from severe knots or 'trigger points in my neck and shoulders. I have tried every product on the market and lots of homemade contraptions too, but non have even come close to how the accumassager relieves the knots. it really changed my life in a sense that I can live my life Knott free, if one reappears then it's straight to the accumassager and within 10 minutes I'm all Knott free. In terms of the quality of the product's build it has held up for me up to now with vigorous use, and there is no signs of that changing. I just can't believe how long it has taken for me to discover this amazing product! I feel it needs way more marketing over here in the UK. So if you are considering buying an accumassager then don't hesitate, it will be one of the best purchases you have ever made, I know it was for me.

A Fantastic aid to help with upper back shoulder and neck pain. It really works I give this 110% worth every penny! if you are in pain, its a must have saves keep going to physio or osteopath. I can't praise this item too much. I have had severe back and neck pain for 11 years due to prolasped discs. It nothing will mend the discs but this item gives the best way to ease tension and pain. WITHOUT DOUBT BY IT!
