Saves lives without you looking like you’re trying too hard.
Been using some version of this tool for more than two decades. It’s simple, not fancy, and it does what it’s supposed to do. Anyone who works with and kind of lines or straps should carry one at all times. And keep some in your car. Also get a decent pair of trauma shears!

Super Sharp
I work as a Detention Officer in a Mental Health Unit where we have Inmates who sometimes tie sheets, trash bags, towels and other things around their necks in a suicide attempt. I have used this tool to cut as said items many times and the tool, straight out of the packaging, is really sharp. The Gerber Strap Cutter has not failed me once and I keep it on my duty belt for easy access. It's small enough to carry on my side to where it's not easily accessible to Inmate. Another way I have used this tool is to cut off Inmate clothes and it has not snagged up when cutting. I highly recommend this Strap Cutter for anyone who works in the same environment as I do.

Good value, sharp, works well, will buy again.
The cutting edge is extremely sharp and works well. it is pretty light weight and you do not feel it when you are wearing it on a belt. Skin and fingers seem well protected when using the cutter. It is easy to remove from the sheath. The feel in the hand is nice and I think that it will feel a little better after the plastic coating breaks in a bit. The sheath has a fairly positive grip on the cutter but the mounting options could use some refinement. I will be creating my own mounting option. The color is nice. Pretty dark.

Great product
I've always found Gerber products to be well made & this is no exception. Blade is sharp & easily cuts through nylon straps & webbing. The shape is comfortable & easy to control, & the sheath hold the blade tight while still allowing for quick deployment. The included belt clip is insanely tight, but if you weave it through mills BEFORE attaching it to the sheath, there are zero issues. Already plan on buying additional ones for other vehicles.

Good Piece of Kit
Keep one of these on the visor in my Jeep. Well made and dependable. I would purchase again.

Ideal for para cord and edc use
I ordered this as an after thought, one of those 'yeah, it would be neat to have a blade to cut para cord and also handy to have a belt cutter'....this thing is awesome.First, I never held one of these and it is bigger than what I expected, which is a welcome surprise as it gives it a weight that maybe promising for durability. So far i have it attached on pal webbing and it has been simply handy to have. I added a para cord lanyard so that I can just drop it out of my hand and complete a knot without risk to injury as by design it is a concealed blade for safety.simply put, why don't you have one if you carry a knife as well? it's a different but very useful tool.
