Does the presser just sit on the stand?

No, it fixes securely with long screw provided - put tiny label on bottom of stand plate to front (it was there on mine!) so that there are 3 indents in base plate ready to accept the matching 3 feet on press at the front, (there will be two at the back) then lower press on, line up feet of press into indents on the stand then screw on firmly through hole in base into matching hole with screw thread on press. Is easier done by two of you - good luck!!

Sorry I do not know how much it ways, I sent the product back as the table was to low to stand and iron, not suitable for a work place unless you have a solid table or unit to put this on. I should say if you send it back it will cost you £50.00 for a return delivery.

i would like to try a 101 hd press and if i buy one and it does not do what i want is it returnable with a full credit?

Is the hand gets tired after lifting it up and pressing down several times? As for ironning a single shirt one must lift it 14 times.
