Surprisingly good
Face it, caulking is a mess. There is no magic way to remove it without a lot of work, and no easy way to apply it cleanly. But I was surprised by both of these tools. They both helped me pretty much with this difficult job . I feel like there has to be a better design instead of the big clunky caulking guns, and i guess i would be better at it if had more experience, but this smoothing tool plus the green masking tape gave me pretty good results anyway. The removal tool was better than i thought but again, nothing makes caulk removal simple or easy.

worthwhile tool - better at finishing than removing caulk
the finishing tool makes getting a perfect caulk line super easy. The caulk removal tool works, but if I had to do a ton of it I'm not sure I trust it to not break, as it's plastic (albeit pretty sturdy) and you sometimes really have to go at it to remove the caulk. I did a tub and it survived and did a decent job. Overall, this is a decent buy, don't regret it.

Very Handy
Finally wore out the first set I had after XX number of years. Probably could have gone to the hardware store and picked up a set, but I thought I better order while it was on my mind... You know how it is when you get older. Very handy and works like a charm.

Worth having in the toolbox
The finisher worked great for smoothing over a long bead of caulk; although, a wet finger is still my preference on shorter runs. My only complaint is the rubber pad on the tool is starting to come loose after only a weekend of work. For the price, it’s a useful enough tool to keep on hand but chances are you won’t use it exclusively. Haven’t used the removal tool yet so I can’t speak to it’s usefulness or durability.

Worth every penny for something that's probably pennies to make.
The caulk remover is just ok. It works a little better with a hair drier to warm up the caulk, but not that great. The caulk applicator though, worth every penny. I got a perfect caulk seam, so easy and fast, I had to check that out really happened. This is quite a feet because I have long nails and doing a decent caulk job with nails is extra messy and hard. The only thing that could make it better would be having different sizes of the curve.

Chalk Remover
The chalk remover is made out of plastic so you need to be careful while in use. I used the Hyde Tools 43600 Caulk-Away Pro Removal Tool which is a excellent tool, but with the long handle, the Hyde 43600 is difficult to use in tight places. This is where this Hyde 43640 took over. I have not used the Finisher so will not comment. Using both of these caulk removal tools made my job so much easier. But just remember the 43640 is made for small jobs.Update: I finished with the Finisher today. I thought this would make a bigger mess then with my finger so I did not use it right away. What a mistake! This Finisher is a great tool. However you must keep it clean for it to work the way it is made to work. This is the correct tool to use and I rate it at a 5+ stars. Thank you Hyde for providing this tool.

Looks professionally done
I have never loved a tool as much as I love these two! I had to recaulk my tub to remove mold and was worried about scratching the acrylic liner and walls if I used a razor blade. This little tool worked perfectly! Removed the caulk in one pass. Cleaned it out, let it dry, then used the caulk gun to spread white silicone caulk, and used the spreader tool to make a nice clean seal. Kept paper towels handy to wipe it off between takes. Really and truly, love this combo. I’m not a professional in the least and now my tub looks like it was done by one.

Applicator works, remover not so much
I've replaced caulking outside around windows and around a tub, the remover didn't work for me in either application. It didn't reach far enough back into the corners, if it did it would most like break, it's thin plastic. The applicator is nice and works great though. It's worth the money for the applicator.

Skip the caulk remover and just buy a caulk smoother tool separate
I used this tool to recaulk my bathtub over the weekend, and it did an impressive job. I found the caulk remover to be a bit pointless unfortunately, I was better served by cutting out the old caulk with a utility knife vertically and horizontally and then peeling it out by hand as the old caulk had become quite hard. The caulk smoother however worked very well and produced a nice clean bead in every corner. I wish there was a way to ensure that the caulk smoother produced a more consistent thickness though, because the angle that you tilt the handle at determines the radius of the bead (45* to the corner is ideal, any angle further from the corner produces a smaller radius, any angle closer to the corner produces a larger radius)

High quality won't break
These were amazing. So many times I thought the scraper blade was gonna break being only plastic but it didn't.

By Far the worst product I have ever purchased on amazon
this thing is utterly useless. Does nothing. Did the whole job with a butter knife and my finger much easier.

Does the job
It's a plastic tool... not much to say. It's durable quality, but seems a little pricey for what you receive.
