Both sides are felt so I can quickly flip the board over if I tire of the message I have on one side or the other. And may I add that this seller has excellent customer service? The board comes with black and white letters, a bunch of them. One letter was missing, another broken, which really wasn't a problem as there are plenty of letters included. The deal breakers for me were the wooden stand it comes with and the fact that it is double sided with different colors. Although it is a bit of a pain to break apart all the letters, you can pull them apart as you need to.There are a vast amount of letters, symbols and other characters I wouldn't have even imagined.
