Review: Decent backup enclosure - I use this enclosure for backup duty on a server running Arch Linux. No compatibility problems. Configured RAID 0.
Review: CONSTANT FAN NOISE - I received this item on 15 Oct. 2025. It began malfunctioning today (4 December, 2025). (i.e. 50 days later) The problem: The fan runs at high speed continuously. (i.e. VERY noisy) Trouble Shooting Attempt: I dismounted the drive, unplugged its USB connection to the computer, and unplugged its power source. (As expected, it became totally silent.) I left it in this state for an hour. When I reconnected it to the computer (via USB) and its power source, it resumed running the fan at high speed.
