Bought this for my husband as a stocking stuffer. He loved it. The compact ability to be able to carry around with him. He is currently growing his beard and its getting to the point where he needs to start combing and he was looking for something he can carry with him at all times. First of all Viking Revolution went above and beyond trying to make the situation right. Hence, the five stars! The plus: The comb is sturdy and just the right size for my 3.5 inch gray beard. Folds well and glides through the beard. I use it though there is a slight defect. The minus: The machinery at two point near the hinge burned the wood. It looks OK, blends into the rest of the wood and is symetrical so as to not look like a defect. But it smells of burnt wood. Note a nice aroma under your nose as you comb the s'tash and chin. Viking Revolution kindly sent me another comb very quickly. Alas, it too had the defect. They wrote nice apology letters. It does seem that the burnt aroma is lessening. Because of the first-rate, after-purchase care, I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Wait, I already did! I bought the Citrus Beard Balm, 2-pack. There is no defect with the balm! I am too new to balms and oils and maybe my beard is just a little too wily. But it does work better than oil alone. I suspect oils and balms are like shoes. Keep looking to find the right fit.

nice idea, smelled of pine which I liked and combed well but.... it broke exactly like the pic someone else shared. I did glue it back and still use it but for how long....

I have a very thick beard and this comb does exactly what I need it to do. Not to mention it smells like sandalwood, highly recommend!!! If the comb is loose, you can tighten it; im not sure why others have their panties in a bunch!!
