I really enjoy delving into history and "Our Secret Society" not only brought to light some of the history in the black culture, but is interestingly entertaining. The writer, Tanisha C. Ford, wrote in a way that put me in the moment of the characters of the book. I lived vicariously through them as I read through the captivating moments of their time. When I read history that keeps me engaged as I'm being educated, that's a winner for me. Great read, I'm giving this book 5 stars!Marcia G

In "My Secret Society" Tanisha fills her book with a well researched history of the early civil rights movers and shakers who helped improve lives through their hard work and dedication to the cause. I am SO grateful that she persevered and what a gifted storyteller. The book opens with Mollie Moon in Russia in 1932 and so begins a wild and unforgettable history of Moon yes and so many others. Chapter 7 especially, reads like fiction!Highly recommend.
