The board is sturdy as is the nice cork roller. I use mine in the garage on a rubber mat and that works great. After 3 weeks my best time is 13 minutes. Our family had a balance board years ago and I remember how much fun it was, and this board did not disappoint. As we get older balance and core strength become more important, and at 54 I don't plan to ever be without a balance board. And most importantly of all, they are a lot of fun! My wife thought I was crazy and going to fall. After several days, she started asking to try it and now does it on her own.
