3M Double Sided Tape Heavy Duty 0.5" x 15.4 Ft 5925, Black Mounting Tape

This is proper 3M VHB 5925 foam tape and it lives up to the reputation. Bond strength is excellent on clean surfaces and it holds up well in heat. Official ratings show long-term resistance to 200°F with short-term spikes higher than that, so summer sun or warm walls are not a problem. I have used it for wall mounting and similar jobs where screws were not ideal. Once it sets it is very difficult to remove cleanly, which is exactly what you want for permanent installs. The main trade-off is the 0.025 inch thickness. It adds noticeable bulk compared to thinner tapes, so measure your clearances first. That thickness is also what gives it the gap-filling and vibration resistance that thinner tapes lack. If you need maximum holding power and can accept the extra height, this is one of the better consumer options available.

This double-sided tape is wonderful! It’s strong, easy to use, and the possibilities for using it are practically endless. The longer it stays on a surface, the stronger the bond becomes. Just be sure to apply firm pressure when you install it, as the instructions recommend. If you follow the directions, this tape works great!

Perfect for vehicle badges and emblems. Used this to apply emblems to textured surface. Extremely good adhesion so make sure you have it exactly where you want it. Imagine it will not be fun to try to remove. Measure 3 times before you install. Can confirm it works for installing emblems and badges on bedliner sprayed vehicle.

I used this to mount a dimmer switch to the wall and to replace a car emblem and it held solid in both cases without any signs of giving out. Regular double sided tape would not have lasted but this stuff is genuinely serious adhesion. The 3M name is not just branding, there is a real quality difference here. Would not bother with cheaper alternatives for anything that needs to stay permanently.

I used this for many projects, but one of them was attaching solar panels and wind fairings on my camper. I did also use screws, and DICOR, but this provides a decent amount of the initial "Stick" to keep things down.

not a foam tape, a polymer base that you can peel off when stretched/best tape for mounting anything.

My license plate kept popping up at the corners and this tape has been great to keep it down. Very heavy duty!

THIS STUFF IS AWESOME!!! I BEEN MODIFYING CARS SINCE THE 80’S SO I KNOW A THING OR TWO WHEN IT COMES TO USING ANY KIND OF DOUBLE SIDED TAPE FOR A CAR EXTERIOR TYPE WORK AND I ALWAYS PEFER 3M VHB CAUSE ITS THE BEST TIME AND TIME AGAIN AND I WOULDNT SAY THIS IS ORIGINAL FROM THIS SELLER BUT MAN THIS STUFF IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS. SO STICKY THAT THE SIDES STICK TO EVERYTHING WITHOUT IT BEING UNROLLED YET. YOU DONT EVER GET THAT WITH CHEAP QUALITY DOUBLE SIDED TAPES. SAYS 3M VHB ALL OVER BUT LOOKING AT THE INSIDE IT SAYS A FEW THINGS ORIGINAL 3M VHB DOESNT SAY, NONETHELESS I USED IT ALREADY ON A NEW GLOSS BLACK DOOR TRIM AND BECAREFUL CAUSE THIS STICKS AUTOMATICALLY! I WOULD DEFINITELY ORDER FROM THIS SELLER AGAIN CAUSE THE PRICE IS GOOD AND I CAN SAY THIS IS EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY!!
