I was using alcohol based minoxidil, in the beginning. But a month and a half in and I started to get extremely inflamed and itchy in various spots on my head. To the point where it became very sore and red. So I began looking for a serum, or something that was not alcohol-based. I found this stuff called Elevate. And while it also contained biotin? It dried to be something very sticky and waxy. This stuff seems to penetrate pores better and does not maintain any sort of texture once it has dried. While also not becoming flaky like the alcohol-based stuff. Perfect! Now I've never been bald, but over the years my hair has become extremely fine, to the point where each hair strand is not but a quarter of the diameter of what it used to be in my 20s. From there thinning and balding is only a matter of time. So I don't really have too much to show for it, in terms of regrowth rate, but not even the alcohol or the Elevate stuff was really bringing back any of the small recession spots that had been occurring along my crown in the past 6 or 7 years. There's tiny growth there but after about almost a year of use of various hair products, that little bit of growth is still pretty much the same height it was at about 3 months in and I have only been using this stuff for less than a month. But it has made my hair much more silky, which is a great result.

The media could not be loaded.  This works a little better than a similar product I used, but after using it for about 8 months I'm not seeing much of a difference. Some stubby hairs grew back, but not a noticeable number. The last bottle I purchased from Amazon is very different from what I normally get. The product is clear and watery instead of a yellowish color slightly thicker than water. The package doesn't say anything about a foul change. I'm not happy, and I doubt I'll buy it again.

Been using it for a while and it shows promise for restoring lost hair. My hair was thinning at the hairline on the sides. I now see where this hair is growing back. I will continue to use it. It shows great promise.

I like this much better than Keranique. The price is great.
