It's surface area isn't quite big enough to nicely key a face by itself but it'll work in a pinch. I actually end up using this on my desk a lot to bounce off of my office wall and pretty my mug up for zoom calls. When reflecting off of the wall it still has enough output to key nicely. It's a good simple light. My only complaint is with the included case. While I'm glad to have been given one it clearly wasn't given much thought in it's design. For one, it's padded by an ugly white styrofoam cutout that looks pretty cheap/unprofessional when you open it up. And the 2nd thing, for whatever reason that foam is configured in a way that only provides padding for the back side of the light, not the panel side where you'd want it more. I don't think the panel itself is all that fragile but they could have easily laid things out differently in a way to give the panel a little added protection; don't stack things on this case. This is a theoretical maximum. I would reduce this by half because of many factors that affect battery capacity. As a licensed Electrical Engineer my estimate is 2 hours max. For additional buffer I'd recommend a 1 to 1.5 hour assumption. **Q: Which is the compatible soft box?** A: I have never seen a softbox for this panel. I have only seen softboxes for the smaller panels, and the final "big end" is about the same dimensions as this panel.
