Dropfoot Relief
Update. 2025-03-21 - Time to order a new one. But, I see there is only a 'SMALL' size available. Just when I thought I had found the best product. Now what? Is the large size going to be available again soon?I decided to try a different support for my right dropfoot condition. In the past I was buying a plastic support here on Amazon. I think I went through about three or four of those and I still have one hanging on a rack in the closet. I was tired of the plastic rubbing the outside of my ankle irritating me all the time. Plus, it just looked ugly in shorts. I had came across an Ace ankle support that was similar to this product that I had been wearing. I went through a couple of those but wasn't that happy either as the velcro wore out on those also. So, now I'm wearing this product and it took me a week or a bit more to get used to putting it on. But, it is easier to take off than the Ace support. It seems as though the velcro is of a better grade that I'm hoping will last more than a year. Time will tell but for now I'm loving this support. I left the metal side supports in for extra support but I don't even notice them. For the price I feel this is a very good value and seems to work in supporting my foot maybe just a bit better than the others I've worn. I'm still looking for a better product. I have even done a bit of experimenting by cutting the bottom plastic foot support from the older plastic brace I had and inserting that into this support. This to give my ankle that extra lift that I need to keep from tripping sometimes. Those of us with dropfoot know what I'm talking about. That experiment didn't work out very well but I still have hope that someone will add this extra support into a product like this to make it the best dropfoot support in the world. Maybe I will be the one to create it but time will tell as usual. I bought the large and it seemed a bit too big but I have become accustomed to it. I wear a size 11 shoe and they are not as snug as I'd like but I have to have extra room to not put too much pressure on the big toe joint. Neuropathy giving me fits throughout the day and sometimes in the night. Just buy it and see for yourself. You can always return it if it's not what you like.

Meh
Was looking for a brace to replace the DonJoy one the the orthopedist have me.The Don Joy is a pain to put on and take off but provides good support. This one is much easier to put on, but nowhere near as supportive. If the wrap around straps weren't stretchy it would probably be better.Still looking

Good fit with comfort
The ankle brace is easy to put on and take off, thanks to the crisscross strapping style and the velcro fasteners. It fits snugly and comfortably over any sock, and it does not slip or slide during use. The material is breathable and durable, and it does not irritate my skin. The best feature of this ankle brace is the detachable support springs on both sides. They provide extra protection and reinforcement for the ankle, and they can be removed when not needed.I like that I can adjust the level of support according to my needs and preferences. The springs also help to prevent further injury and speed up the healing process. This ankle brace has helped me a lot with my recovery, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs an ankle support brace.

Not for me
I've rolled my ankle twice now playing basketball in these . They are comfortable and probably good for lighter duty activities but for my intended purpose (basketball) they do not provide enough support. Even with the thin metal springs. And I am passed the return window unfortunately.

Sprained ankle
I was looking for a sturdy brace after I refused to wear a boot for a sprained ankle. It's probably not designed for the first few weeks of recovery, but it was better than nothing. I wish it was a little bit sturdier for support. However, I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it is. I have no idea what people are talking about saying it's hard to put on - it's very intuitive. I wear this under hiking boots when I need to stay on my feet for a while and it's great. For lounging around the house the brace works fine by itself.
