The chess pieces are magnetic, so they stick to the board, and stay put even if the board is jostled! The checkers aren’t magnetic, though. I was a bit disappointed by that. The chess pieces all store away very easily if you put them back in the proper spot, and they don't fall out. The checker pieces are also easy to store, a few have sometimes come out, but not often. I’m very grateful this set is as nice as it is.

Very nice chess set. It looks quite nice. The chess pieces are magnetic, so they stick to the board, and stay put even if the board is jostled! The checkers aren’t magnetic, though. I was a bit disappointed by that. The chess pieces all store away very easily if you put them back in the proper spot, and they don't fall out. The checker pieces are also easy to store, a few have sometimes come out, but not often. I’m very grateful this set is as nice as it is.
