Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 Vacuum Cleaner

I had a Dyson C28 which unfortunatly had a few issues after 7 years. I purchased the Big Ball Animal as I have two small dogs inside and 4 girls with very long hair that is always shedding. The suction power is great. It has that mcu suction it is quite difficult to move on shaggy rugs but it is great on carpets. It squeaks over tiles and wooden floor even though I have it on the right setting. Overall it is a great hoover, qute noisy but really picks up the dirt.

As usual Dyson has come up trumps. This vacuum cleaner is brilliant and is very powerful. I have been using Dyson for more than 25 years now and I haven’t found another vacuum to better it.

I have 4 cats with plenty of hair all around. I've looked carefully for a vacuum cleaner solution and find this device as the best for pet hair removal I found.

I've had this for a couple of years - didn't buy from Amazon but wanted to share the product experience. If you've got a pet then this is superb at picking up fur and I love being able to hoover the cat's bed and favourite sleeping areas so easily - no more fur in the washing machine! It's great on hard floors too. Not easy on carpet - will depend on the type of carpet - deep pile is very hard work and it's eaten a fair amount of our new carpet. Main bug bears are 1) very heavy to do stairs 2) the hose isn't long enough when you want to get at awkward places 3) and this is a real nuisance - the hose and stem sections do not stand up unaided, so when you stop to move furniture and other things out of your way, it falls over. It falls over unless you have a wall to lean it up against and even then it'll probably still fall over. Not just back breaking but liable to damage things if you weren't expecting it to slide down. 4) Emptying - I thought this was going to be good for me as an allergy sufferer. Not so - you get a cloud of dust when you empty it. Additionally, the cylinder is prone to come open again (doesn't click shut very well) so you get a second blast of dust in the air and on your shoes, and on the floor you've just cleaned. Also don't empty into wheelie bin - it just sticks to the sides. Needs to go into a bin bag. I have a dust allergy and find it's great at hoovering up the dust but you are very exposed when emptying the cylinder. At least we've all got masks handy these days.

Upgraded older model which is still working great after 8 years, but now that Dyson has discontinued canister powered vacuums best to pick up one now before they are gone forever. There's no other canister vacuum like Dyson and these are very easy to use being much lighter for the hands than any battery powered stick or upright. I don't know why Dyson dropped this line for rechargeable. Battery ones are a nonsense and will generally degrade and need to be replaced within 5 years. Constant power anytime with a plug in. You don't need space to recharge or run out of juice. Highly recommended.

Loved everything about this product but only wish that the extendable hoover pole was metal rather than plastic. It feels strong enough but I would worry that the plastic may break in time. Picks up animal hairs very easily and the amount of dirt that has come out of my carpets using the different attachments is disturbingly astonishing.

I was so disgusted with the crap that came out of my hall way carpet with this vacuum. i used my beloved Henry vacuum first then went over the floor again with this and you'd think i hadn't vacuumed for weeks! the amout of dirt and dog hari this pulls out the carpets and kitchen floor is amazing! a lot of money for a vacuum but a super investment! never been so excited over a vacuum before now!
