The Beauty Shelf Konjac Sponge (3 Pack) Activated Bamboo Charcoal. Facial Cleansing & Exfoliating Beauty Sponges

I've had these sponges for two days but I can already tell that I will be repurchasing them when I run out of them. I have acne prone skin and I am currently using a prescription medicated cream but I also wanted to do my part in cleansing well. I wanted to avoid electronic cleansing brushes/devices which look like they are too harsh for facial skin so I bought these sponges.They arrived looking like three charcoal biscuits. I soaked one in water before use and it really softens up and expands. I have used this both with and without cleanser. Without cleanser, it provides a nice light cleanse. With cleanser, it provides a deep cleanse. I'd recommend putting the product directly on the sponge and letting it absorb into it. I find this works better with both liquid and solid cleansers. When you need more product, just squeeze the sponge while it's on your face and more cleanser will be released. It's very gentle and has a slip to it which I didn't expect but it makes cleansing easier as it glides around your face. Also, it really removes makeup. I usually use a makeup wipe then cleanse. After cleansing, there's always a bit of makeup residue left on my face but not with these sponges.It comes with a thin string attached to it which is meant to be used to hook up onto something to store it. For now, I have hung this on the pump of my hand soap dispenser for want of a better place. It doesn't drip which is good. It's impossible to get it totally dry just by squeezing the excess water out so the fact that it doesn't drip is great.My skin is smoother and much less oily after using the sponge. I love these but I wouldn't recommend this particular version for dry skin. However, I'm looking into the other variations of this sponge, from the same company, to purchase for members of my family with different skin types. I would definitely recommend this to anyone struggling with acne-prone skin.

I decided to buy these sponges as I have sensitive skin, I can only use one particular cleanser at night and just water in the morning, and if I use anything else I break out in spots. I'm in my 40's and can't use moisturiser! I thought this would be good at clearing those stubborn blackheads and keeping my skin clean while not irritating it. Well I have only used it for a few days so far but the first thing I've noticed is how soft my skin is, I can honestly say it's never felt as good! The downside is a few spots have appeared but I'm hoping it's because my skin is clearing and it will ease off. My skin definitelyfeels better so I will carry on using the sponge for another week or so and see what happens. I'll update on the results!Update: the spots I got when I first starting using these sponges have all cleared up! In fact, each one disappeared within a day of appearing, something I've never experienced before, spots would usually take a while to clear up for me. So in summary these sponges are brilliant! My skin is brighter, softer and clearer and I'll definitely carry on using them.

I bought these for my son who has teenage skin which often has breakouts. He liked the fact that these are black and he didn't necessarily need to use a product with them. They are quite small about 6cm when dry and arrive beautifully packed in a small box. It takes a few seconds under the tap for the konjac sponge to become soft but then it can be used quickly and easily to cleanse the skin - just the light action cleans and exfoliates in seconds. They seem to last well too as he's been using the same one for a couple of months. His skin has improved a lot but he's also using blue light which seems to help. I have no hesitation in recommending these sponges to others they are great to use , quick and easy and really easy to take away on trips.

Only had this a few days so I cannot write a full review. However my skin has been feeling a lot smoother and noticeably less oily, I haven't broke out either while using this but I still have previous spots. High hopes and will keep using this product. Really recommend to anyone with oil prone skin

The product is exactly as advertised, no surprises when unpacking.I had never used a konjac sponge before, and it honestly changed my life! My face is where oil lives, which means every day, the same battle starts all over again. This sponge gets rid of accumulation of sebum near my nose, in the chin fold, etc. Nothing else could ever do this, no cream, no mask, nothing. Besides, the routine is so painless (you kind of just rub the sponge all over your face). I am now forever addicted! Will most definitely order again once I run out.

The sponges do expand to about 50% larger than its original size when dry. It comes with a string so you can hang it. This sponge isn't as soft as some others that I've tried, but does the job and is cheaper :)

They arrived packaged in a smart little box. After soaking in water they did indeed soften into lovely soft sponges.My main issue with them is that they haven't really done anything for my skin. I've been using them for nearly a week and my skin feels/looks exactly the same. I have spot-prone, combination skin, for the record.I was a little disappointed after all the glowing(potentially paid-for) reviews and hype. It could just be that they didn't agree with my skin and they'd be a miracle for yours though; after all there was nothing wrong with them. They were just... sponges. Very nice sponges, but nothing special.

Exactly as ordered.The sponges were a bit smaller than the ones I had ordered from this same supplier in the past. However, the quality remains good and I am very pleased with my purchase
