Review: Foorific - As a long-time listener, I've always appreciated Brian Preston's content, so diving into "Millionaire Mission" was a no-brainer for me. I'll admit, I'm not your typical book readerโI tend to gravitate towards work-related material rather than reading for leisure. However, this book has been a game-changer. Looking back, I wish I had discovered Brian's insights earlier in life. His approach to personal finance is refreshingly practical and relatable, making it easy for even the busiest individuals to engage with. "Millionaire Mission" is not just a book; it's a roadmap to financial empowerment. One feature that really stands out is the "FOO." It's not just good; it's exceptional! This feature is like a GPS for your finances, keeping you on track towards your financial goals. Whether you're a seasoned investor or just diving into the world of personal finance, this book delivers exactly what you need. From the moment I started reading, I found myself completely engrossed in the content. It's informative, practical, and most importantly, it delivers on its promises. Brian Preston has a knack for breaking down complex financial concepts into digestible nuggets of wisdom, making it easy for readers to implement his strategies. Overall, "Millionaire Mission" exceeds expectations with its great content and actionable advice. If you're serious about taking control of your financial future, this book is a must-read. Highly recommended! Review: Review from a Finance Nerd - This book is essentially an improved and more detailed version of โThe Total Money Makeoverโ by Dave Ramsey, written by a qualified financial professional (CPA and CFP). Iโve read quite a few personal finance and investing books over the past few years and am currently in graduate school for personal financial planning while studying for the CFP. I hope my opinions in this review hold some weight given my fairly strong background in the subject matter and my passion for financial literacy. For some additional context, Iโve listened to The Money Guy Show on YouTube for nearly 4 years now, and it has been a major inspiration in my life to go into financial planning. When I heard Brian was writing a book, I decided to preorder. In addition, I listened to the audiobook while I followed along in the physical copy. Beginning with the financial content and merit of the advice: itโs excellent. The FOO is meticulously detailed and designed. It takes Dave Ramseyโs Baby Steps and adds nuance to each step while making noticeable improvements to the order of financial operations. Itโs a very beginner-friendly book, focusing more on actionable steps and less on the complexities of investing and complex financial planning. Everything is presented in a manner where beginners and even more savvy financial enthusiasts can benefit from its wisdom. As a longtime viewer of the show, I expected to already know most of the content in the book. I was correct in my assumptions, but I still enjoyed reviewing the fundamentals while appreciating the real-world examples Brian includes in each chapter. The chapters I enjoyed the most were the chapters near the end, where the author focuses more on the โwhyโ of personal finance and the meaning and purpose behind building wealth. Building wealth isnโt necessarily about being โrich,โ but more so about having the freedom to live your life on your terms and having the resources to help others do the same. Lastly, my favorite chapter is the final one, where the author discloses what he does with his own money. Iโm a very nosy person and nerd out on personal finance, so Iโm always curious what financial professionals do with their own money. Without spoiling too much, I can say I agree with his financial plan and I personally have a very similar setup (albeit with significantly less income, savings, etc.). Overall, I highly recommend this book. If most adults could simply get to steps 4-5, they would be far better off with their finances. Itโs going on my bookshelf next to other great finance books like The Psychology of Money, A Random Walk Down Wall Street, and The Bogleheadsโ Guide to Investing.

A Blueprint for Building Your Financial Future
If you're serious about building long-term wealth and cutting through the noise of get-rich-quick schemes, 'Millionaire Mission' is a must-read. I bought this book as soon as I was able to pre-order it. Brian Preston has been on a long-term mission to educate through his Money Guy Show podcast, and now he's focused on helping his audience become millionaires. For those looking for get-rich-quick schemes, you wonโt find them here. Millionaire Mission advocates playing the long game, taking consistent action, and expanding your use of tools to help you build โa great big beautiful tomorrow.โ I found this book to be easy to read. It helps you to prioritize and sequence the many opportunities to put your money to work. This book brings clarity for those (like me) who werenโt exactly sure how to best deploy their dollars to work for them. Brian also draws upon his personal experience and perspectives on money and wealth from throughout his life. He is transparent about mistakes he has made and what he learned from them. This refreshing approach makes it clear that everybody makes mistakes with money and we can still turn out okay in the end. Brian and the content creators on his team do an amazing job of creating innovative, custom data visualizations and infographics to help educate their audience. Iโve seen some of the fantastic work that theyโve done on The Money Guy Show. The Financial Stages of Life graphic on page 185 of Millionaire Mission was really helpful for this long-term planner. If Brian chooses to write another book, I would suggest that he lean in and leverage his content creators to bless us with more useful charts and visualizations. I would highly recommend this book to family and friends.

Thanks Money Guy Show! A financial primer for future success.
Great source of information. I preordered the book when it was announced, have listened to the audiobook version multiple times and have been ordering copies for family and friends when they have a new high school graduate. This book provides a good explanation of the system for how to use your next dollar called the Financial Order of Operations (FOO). Should you pay off your house early? Should you put the money into retirement or early payments for house or maybe an education fund for child. This book will help with guidance on setting up a mindset for future financial decisions and success. There is also tons of video content available from the author over so many topics going back to the early days of podcasts.

A Must-Read for all Financial Mutants and Wannabes!
After being a long-time listener to the โMoney Guyโ podcast, I was excited to pick up a copy of Brian Prestonโs new book. It did not disappoint. In it, Preston argues that anyone can achieve Millionaire Status if they follow the Financial Order of Operations (FOO). Brian breaks down the necessary steps in an easy-to-follow, coffee-table delivery and anyone can follow it, whether you make $15 an hour, or $15 million a year. Cover your highest deductible Max-out your employer match Pay off high-interest debt Build emergency reserves Max-out tax-free growth with Roth and HSA contributions Max-out retirement options Leverage hyper-accumulation Prepay future expenses Preay low-interest debt One of Brian Prestonโs missions is to get podcast listeners and readers of this book to become hyper-accumulators of wealth. To do this, he wants you to get to a point where you are saving and investing at least 25% of gross pay. As a single-income teacher household, this seems formidable, however with pension contributions, employer match to pension, maxing two Roth IRAs and then maxing a 403b, we currently are at a place where we are saving 62.5% of base salary per year and living on the rest. It is 100% doable if you live a life of deferred gratification. You simply have to ignore the chatter and try to not buy the newest car, iPhone, etc. Preston delivers candid real life applications of the FOO steps and his writing style is easy to read (I read it in one sitting). Much like his podcast, โThe Money Guy Showโ, Brian is not out to make a quick buck selling his โsecretsโ. He offers the practical advice you wish your wealthy uncle had taught you at high school graduation. Pick this up. You wonโt be disappointed.

Authentic, valuable, and trustworthy financial guidance!
Rarely is there content that comes along that Iโm compelled to share with others. This book is an example of such content. I first discovered your content on YouTube in Jan 2025. Since then I have been going through your content and this book to get serious about planning confidently for my financial future. With every nugget of information, I continue to wish I had found this excellent content earlier in my life. For this reason, and because I donโt have a Time Machine, I have gifted this book 7 times and counting to the young people in my life. Brian, thank you for sharing your valuable content with your authentic, educational, and personal approach. You attract a following, not with contrarian attention grabs, gimmicks, or being yet another blowhard personality, but with solid CFP knowledge-backed wisdom, evidence in data, and case-studies. You and the MG Team truly help people with financial guidance that is extremely valuable, impactful, and easy to trust.

Good Beginner Book
There is a lot of good information in this book and it is worth buying/reading. My only criticism is I wish there was more discussion directed to specific portfolio allocations for index funds eg. international, domestic, small mid large cap etc. - beyond simple target date funds.

Helped transform my familyโs financial future
I grew up in a typical African American household, lower middle class, with a nurse for a mother who was a disciplined saver, and a Nigerian father who preached education, yet loved to spend. That mix gave me just enough of a foundation to work hard, earn a good income, and understand the basic principle of spending less than you make. But the concepts Brian Preston teaches in Millionaire Mission, the detailed roadmap for what to do with your next dollar, how to build wealth intentionally, and how to think like someone on a true financial journey, were almost completely foreign to me. As I read, I often felt like I was getting a peek into a โsecret society,โ a world of information that many people from backgrounds like mine never get access to. Almost no one I grew up around knew about any of this. Thatโs why I am so grateful to have stumbled across Brianโs work. His heart as a teacher shines through every page. He takes ideas that once seemed abstract, intimidating, and out of reach, and makes them accessible, understandable, and attainable. It still amazes me that less than two years ago, I knew almost nothing about the principles he teaches so clearly. This book is not just a guide; It is an invitation. You have to read it, and then you have to share it. The knowledge in these pages has the power to change families and futures. A Personal Note to Brian: If you ever read this, please know there is a Black woman in Ohio whose life, and lineage, has been changed because of your teaching. You have given me tools, confidence, and a vision that I would have never discovered on my own. For that, I am forever grateful. PS: One unexpected joy from all of this has been nudging my lifelong saver mother to loosen up and enjoy the present. Reminding her of the statistic that most wealth is spent by the second generation has become my favorite way to lovingly encourage her to treat herself a bit more lol, that definitely has helped her enjoy the now!

An easy read that I wish I would have had 10 years ago
The 9 step process is so straight forward that I wish I would have had this when I started my career. Certainly worth the cost.

A must have for your future self!
A truly brilliant book! Iโm based in the U.K. and although not everything is applicable (free healthcare here!) itโs an incredible tool for any stage of your financial journey. The best bit about Brian and The Money Guy Show is that everything they discuss is backed by experience and numbers (and in their cases a hell of a lot of qualification). If you want that Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow then this book is a must have

Great book
This was a pleasant and informational read. Parts of it aren't really relevant for those of us that don't live in the States, but that doesn't diminish the great tips in this book and it only makes up a small part of this book and there's likely uk equivalents of those products. Overall, I feel excited to get my finances in order, and the FOO is simple and easy to understand.

What a great book, highly recommend!
I really enjoy the money guy show and bought this book to support them. I did not expect the book to be incredibly thoughtful, insightful, motivating and at the same time without being condescending. I truly enjoyed it and definitely will re-read it!
