Sukh 47OZ Hamster Sand Bath - White Fine Silica Sand, Hamster Soft Cleaning

Our hamster absolutely loves this sand! He enjoys rolling around and playing in it, and it seems to be a great addition to his habitat. The sand is fine and works well for his sand bath. We’re very happy with it, and our hamster seems to enjoy it a lot!

This sand for a sand bath is dust-free, and my hamster Gibby loves it. I will say if you have a big dust bath, I would definitely get 2-3 bags as it is kind of small in size. The packaging comes double packaged so if sand were to get out it would be in another bag around it. The quality is very nice and small.

I returned this immediately after seeing how extremely fine the sand was. It was advertised as a hamster sand bath/bedding product, but I would not feel safe using this for a hamster or any small pet. The texture was much finer than I expected, and I was concerned about the possible health risks if the dust or fine particles were breathed in. The size of the bag is small, but that was not my main issue. The fit for its advertised purpose was the real problem because I do not think this is appropriate for a hamster sand bath. For scent and odor, I did not notice a strong smell from the bag, but the lack of odor does not make up for the safety concern. I also cannot speak much on durability because I returned it before using it, but the sand itself felt too fine and dusty for me to trust. As far as value for money, I do not think it is worth it if you are buying it for a hamster. Even if the price seems reasonable, pet safety matters more than saving money. I would strongly warn other hamster owners to check the texture carefully before using this. I personally returned it right away because I was not comfortable risking my pet’s health. Maybe its a durability issue and during transit it got smashed into such a fine powder but even then.

sand works good my hamster loves it but for the price it was good it did come w a cut in it so it was leaking and the quality is good. it really was just user error on my part for not reading i wish it had a zipper to close it instead of you having to just cut it and leave it out
