Sock Horse - Sock Aid Helps You Put on Your Socks,Reduces Back Strain

There are a lot of sock aids out there but I chose this one because of the long handle, which I thought would make it eaier to manage. I was right! It works perfectly, without any of the flopping about I could see as a possible drawback to other types. I have wide feet, and it copes with them fine. You just have to trim and file your toenails to avoid any snagging on the socks as you pull them up. I am being careful with it, as I don't know how strong the plastic is. A bit expensive, but now I can get my socks on.

Sock horse arrived quickly and was well packaged. This certainly seems a sturdy bit of kit. I have bone cancer in my spine complete with a fracture, so no bending or twisting while it heals. As soon as it arrived, my family gathered around and we ALL had a go at using it! Both socks, 6 people. Weird, but fun, and very easy to achieve. I originally thought that my socks wouldn't be wide enough at the neck, but not so, all different sizes of sock worked without any trouble at all.I used the extra bit of rope for added length and no bending, very easy to use, other members of the family didn't bother. I highly recommend this sock horse.

I'm rarely moved to rate an article but I make an exception in this case. I found this piece of "equipment" absolutely useless. Bend and reach problems made it impossible for me to use as in the picture and the hard plastic painfully dug into my skin. The attention to design was probably best demonstrated by the added cord location lugs (not shown on the advert). When the cord is in use to lengthen the reach potential, the lugs become exposed, snag a piece of sock, and then the harder you pull to get the sock on, the bigger the hole you make in your sock. Don't wasted your money on one of these.

Much more sturdy to hold and use than the sock aids with just string but the long handle would benefit from being at least 1 ft longer to ensure people with mobility difficulties can still reach.

Bought this to help my elderly father who struggles to pull socks over his heels. I was pleased with the sturdy construction. The instructions included had us a bit baffled to begin with but watching the video made things quite clear. Unfortunately he struggled to use it but this is because he can not straighten his foot out enough to be able to slide into the sock. If it wasnt for his particular problem i am sure it would have been very helpful for him. We will be keeping it though because my husband finds it easy to use and helpful.

I bought one of these Sock Aids in December 2019 and have used it daily with complete satisfaction unti February this year when the plastic split rendering the sock aid useless!When looking to re-order I saw another device for putting on socks which had more than 10,00 reviews so decided to buy this instead. What a disaster this proved to be - difficult to fit socks as described and a complete waste of money.I immediately ordered another Sock Horse with which I am delighted, this device makes it so very easy for a disabled person to put their socks on. 5 Star, without a doubt, and deserves to have a much higher user rating.

brilliant wish the handle was a little longer. I use it every day it's strong perfect for me & I have had this item for a long while to test it before reviewing . would highly recommend . & so easy to use .
