From our Klipsch experts at ListenUp: There are 2 sets of binding posts that come with the Klipsch RP-8000F II Speakers. One set for connecting the speakers as full - range speakers and a second set for connecting the RP-500SA II Dolby Atmos speakers.

These speakers only need to be connected with speaker wire to an AVR and there is no electric plug at all, right?

That is correct, you just need speaker wire to connect to an AVR, no additional power needed.

What gauge speaker wire recomended ?

I used 12 AWG stranded. Depending on how long the run is to your speakers 14, 18, 24 gage wire could make voltage drop an issue.
