You can soak the blade in water or mineral spirits before brushing the teeth to remove the saw dust. After that you can apply WD-40.

Hi, they cut on the pull stroke. The curvature of the blade is very efficient.

Can this be used in the construction field? ....2x4 etc...

You probably can if you have to when no other means are available at that time.. But it is really for actual tree limbs/branches where you are not really look for precision that you would need for construction. Power tools or manual backsaws and or fastcut hand saws that are made for the construction field would in my opinion give you the proper accurate cut needed.
