Does exactly what you expect, good build quality

This softbox is undoubtedly of professional studio quality. It boasts a solid build quality that is sure to last. While I usually prefer using grids to control the light, this large softbox is perfect for spreading soft and even light all over. It's exactly what I was looking for in a light modifier that spreads light across larger areas, producing a bright and even illumination.However, it's worth noting that the size and weight of the softbox can make it challenging to manage, particularly when locking the canopy arms in place. One workaround that I have found helpful is to position the softbox with the Bowens mount upright, which makes it slightly easier to manage.I am absolutely in love with the new umbrella design of my softbox. The setup process now takes almost half the time it used to, and the new design has made the entire process much easier and smoother. I no longer have to struggle with complicated instructions or fiddly parts, and my fingers are no longer sore afterwards.The new umbrella also performs exceptionally well. It softens the shadow just as well as my previous one, if not better, while also providing an even and natural-looking light. Upon using the softbox, I found that it fit effortlessly onto both my different video lights. The setup and breakdown process was very straightforward and easy to follow. One feature that caught my attention was the cover/case that came with it. It was a nice addition that allows for the protection of the softbox when not in use.In terms of performance, the softbox exceeded my expectations. The light was evenly diffused, which created a soft and natural lighting effect. This made it easier to capture high-quality photos and videos. I regularly use lighting for photography and video recording as it allows me to control the amount of light and with the addition of a Softbox or other modifier I can diffuse it to get the desired results. This NEEWER 90cm Parabolic Softbox is ideal for professional or enthusiast level photography. It works very well for portraiture and a variety of other photography genres, especially when working with a single light source.The reasonably large size provides a very nicely diffused light output which falls away gradually and generates soft shadows. It can be used without the internal diffusers fitted to provide a more dramatic lighting effect or with one or both front diffusers fitted for a softer light and the addition of the grid then makes it a little more directional.It is supplied with a storage bag which makes it very easy to transport. Assembly does take a few minutes as each of the ribs needs to be locked in the open position one at a time which does require a little effort, especially the first few uses. When packing it down there are push levers around the entire circumference of the Bowens type mount which when depressed release the ribs enabling it to packed away. The inner diffuser sheet, outer diffuser and front grid are easily attached by hook and loop. The instruction booklet provides information on assembly and packing down and is certainly worth reading before use.Having used this Parabolic Softbox in my studio I am very pleased with the build quality and how it performs. I have mainly used it with strobe lighting and have also tried LED lighting and found it works just as well with either type. I have over the years used a variety of NEEWER products and generally find them to be good quality and value with this item being no exception.In summary I am more than happy with this Parabolic Softbox and how it performs. It is sufficiently sturdy to be used for location photography and having assembled and packed it down a good number of times there have been no issues with any aspect of its construction. I have no hesitation in recommending.

🟢 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀:⚪ Decent quality made softbox.⚪ Great design with its click and lock system, making it an easy process to set-up and even quicker to close down.⚪ Up to double diffusion with an included grid for more focused light (these are attached via Velcro).⚪ Produces a lovely and evenly diffused light.⚪ Bowens attachment making it useable with many lighting systems (such as my Neewer Q4).⚪ Despite large in size, it's not only fairly lightweight but also collapses down to a carriable size (it comes with a travel bag too).🟡 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹:⚪ It goes without saying that because this is a large modifier; it's not suitable to use in certain non-studio situations or tight spaces; for that, you may want to look into Neewer's 45cm Octagonal Softbox instead.🔴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀:⚪ There are no real cons for this parabolic softbox. For me personally, although it's not the most convenient, it is my favourite to use when I have space for it.

Very quick to use. I was impressed with how quick is it to get this mount from the bag and locked into place. It has a tight tension which you think it is going to break but trust it won't and is designed like that. The diffusers work brilliantly at adding lighting effects for a softer less harsh light. Just remember to lift the rods when closing as I couldn't get it to close but there is a small instruction book telling you how to do it. Great build quality all round and is compatible with a wide range of lighting rigs.

This is great value again from Neewer - good quality, solidly made, a large softbox. It has some heft to it but is relatively easy to set up. Just watch out that you have the room to use it ! But nice results and it has included diffuser for even softer light. Very nice !
