Purchased this dress for my daughter's Senior Snowball dance, as she is non-traditional and didn't want a fluffy, sparkly formal dress. Typically she wears a size 4, but I ordered the Large (US 6) size for her based on the measurements given in the listing. Glad I did, because the 6 fits her in the hips even though it's large on her in the bust and waist. If you are curvy, order based on your largest measurement. There is no "give" in the fabric because it is a thick satin brocade. The dress is well made, with all seams evenly sewn. Size zip and top snaps are good quality. The only thing I am just a little concerned about is how well the knots in the frog closures will hold up from buttoning and unbuttoning them. The loop for the closure takes some work to get the knot into and out of. (Could just be my fumble fingers.)Happy with this purchase!

Beautiful. Fit perfect until we tried to pull down over my butt/hips. Way too tight there. No stretch or give, which would’ve definitely made a difference for me. I ordered the 18 but I’m a US 14-16

The dress was used for my Japanese themed birthday. The dress does have to be ordered two sizes up. I’m a 10 us and ordered a 14 . It fit perfectly. It does have a starch material in it . Safety pins works wonders for a quick snatching in. The buttons were a bit hard at the neck line to redo especially if you have longer nails . Overall 5 stars

I'm a size 16 with a slim waist & narrowly fit the largest size! If you're any bigger, don't even bother purchasing this

It was flattering and comfortable and I looked amazing I wish I had a full shot but don't have one I can find. I wore it to a work Christmas party and got so many compliments. Am very glad I got this dress.

Love this dress. It's hard to find Quipao dresses in US sizes above 10 or 12, so this brand is one of the only options for girls like me. I'm usually a US 14 or 16. I have an hourglass figure (47, 36, 46). I'm d or dd cup size. My shoulders are not narrow, they're a little more broad than most. That, combined with my bra size makes it challenging to find clothes that fit right off the rack, considering my hips are not wider as some girls are. I intentionally ordered this dress in both the brand's size 16 and 18 knowing that one might be a tiny bit small and the other might need to be taken in. The 16 fit well, but as suspected was a tiny bit tight. I could have lived with it, but my tailor was adamant that we keep the larger size and have it taken in to fit me perfectly. I recommend you consider doing the same and order the size of the dress larger than your largest measurement. The fabric has no 'give' to it, so you want it fitted to your body for the most flattering look, which can only be accomplished by alteration unless you are exactly shaped to the measurements of the dress as it comes. Since the dress is priced very reasonably, the extra investment in having it altered is more than worth it. Our tailor asked only $18 to take it in at the back above the hips, and at the upper waist in the front. Hoping this helps!

I usually wear a size 0 to 2. I had to order a size 8/XL. If you have a chest/ breast. I'm a 32 C/D. Go size 8. I am swimming in the waist and hips and the length got longer as the size is larger. Beautiful dress. I had it tailored to fit in the hips and waist and brought the length up. Paid $43 extra for the tailoring at my local tailor. Still worth it as the dress now fits perfectly. I will wear this to a wedding. Can't wait.

It, despite other reviews, is very well made. Let me perfectly honest - this may not work well for our ladies that may have some extra love in the mid-section simply because there is no give. If there is a lump...IT WILL UNFORGIVINGLY SHOW. I put my keys in my bra...and that dress let me know they were there. Hourglass ladies will find that dress will need to be taken in at EVERY seam...good, it means you bought the correct size. Only let them take it in one inch... so you can breathe.

This dress looked beautiful when I opened the package. The material looked expensive and of good quality. The dress fitted perfectly and felt very comfortable to wear and made me feel elegant. The only downside was that on the second wearing the zip malfunctioned and I had to get it replaced. This is the only reason for downgrading from 5 to 4 stars. Otherwise very good and importantly, as I implied earlier, made me feel elegant and beautiful wearing it. Highly recommended.

A beautiful dress with exquisite detail in the embroidery.A few points to be aware of prior to purchase:1. The dress sizes run very small, I had to buy TWO UK DRESS SIZES BIGGER than what I am for it to fit.2. The concealed zip is of poor quality and opens with the zip puller up if you move quickly, luckily it re does up by taking the puller down and re doing it.3. The stitching on the poppers is quite loose so might need extra to secure them fully.

Great product. Looks more expensive than the price paid.
