Accurate, easy to use, and great value!
I bought the Kynup Digital Caliper for a few precision jobs around the workshop — mostly for woodworking and model builds — and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with it. For the price, it’s easily one of the best bits of measuring kit I’ve used in a while. The build quality is surprisingly solid. It’s made from stainless steel and feels reassuringly sturdy in the hand without being overly heavy. The slide movement is smooth and precise, and it holds its position nicely once you set it, so you’re not having to re-zero or second guess your readings. The large LCD screen is one of the standout features. It’s bright, easy to read, and gives results instantly in either mm, inches or fractions — a simple button press lets you switch units depending on what you need. As someone who works with both metric and imperial depending on the job, this flexibility is a big plus.Accuracy-wise, it’s been spot on. I’ve checked it against known reference objects and it’s come in dead accurate every time. The ability to zero the measurement at any point is also really handy when doing step measurements or internal comparisons. One small detail I really liked is the auto-off function. It saves battery life by shutting off when not in use, but switches back on quickly when you move it again. You also get a spare battery included, which is a thoughtful touch and something a lot of manufacturers overlook. It also comes with a durable plastic case that keeps the caliper protected and clean when not in use. Everything fits in snugly and it’s easy to store on a shelf or in a toolbox.Only small niggle is that it’s not waterproof, so you’ll want to avoid using it in damp or very dusty environments. That said, for general use it’s brilliant, and with a bit of care it’ll last for years. In summary, the Kynup Digital Caliper punches well above its weight. Accurate, reliable, easy to use and a great value tool that’s ideal for hobbyists, engineers, woodworkers or anyone needing precise measurements. Highly recommended!

Spot on for the price
The large LCD screen makes it easy to read, and the inch/millimetre conversion adds versatility. Its lightweight carbon fibre build is surprisingly sturdy, making it ideal for both professionals and hobbyists. A reliable and affordable choice for accurate measuring needs!

Great little tool…
Well, on opening the cardboard sleeve and it’s blue plastic vacuum formed box you get to see it looking beautiful and shiny. There’s a couple of spare batteries, instruction manual, calliper tool and even a little screwdriver to be able to change the batteries with. The unit actually came with batteries in it which is great and providing a spare set is even better. I went for the slightly more expensive metal version as apposed to the cheaper plastic jawed one because I like to buy things that will hopefully last longer.Instruction manual is good, although it is pretty easy to understand, you can change the measuring unit via a little button, lock the device via a little top screw and it’s easy to operate the device for external, internal, depth measurements. Display was clear and easy to read and comes with off button to save its batteries.Instruction manual had a couple of mistakes in it, mentioned the locking screw was number 3 on the diagram and it’s actually number 2, (3 is the lcd display) and then also says to reset the unit by taking out the battery and it resets after 30 “secretary” which I presume should be “seconds” So it lost a star because of those mistakes, it’s the details that count.Unit feels well made, no issues with working it and hopefully it will serve us well for years to come.

Good display easy too read
Works very well good display easy too read also spare battery. Does feel a bit flimsy but i am not looking at using it to hammer a nail in our clamp something. It should be treated gently like any measuring equipment. Easy to use good product for the price.

Sturdy case big digits
Few things. Firstly it’s in a sturdy plastic case. So will not get broken when throw it back in tool box. Really nice and clear numbers so easily read. No working out say exactly what the measurements are.

Great Value! Measure depth in addition to external and internal dimensions.
Great value! Large, clear display on a fairly robust body. Comes with a handy plastic storage case and an extra CR32 battery. Please note that it has an accuracy of ±0.2mm, meaning measurements may vary by up to 0.2mm. It measures in increments of 0.1mm and can also measure depth in addition to external and internal dimensions.

OK
They’re OK for the money if you need a rough sizing for something. My business sells plastic sheeting of various thicknesses from 0.25-6mm. These are good enough to double check you’ve got the correct plate but all measurements are slightly off. And because it’s a little flimsy you can drastically change the measurement just by pushing a bit harder. Still, if I needed more accuracy I would have paid more money so overall I’m happy enough. But I have had more accurate cheap callipers in the past.

Do NOT buy this rubbish.
I only return 2 items in my decades of buying on Amazon (last one was cabin luggage 15 years ago).I rarely write negative reviews (easy to check), but this calipers got my blood boiling.Terrible, soft plastic, jaws out by 0.5mm, depth gauge is nearly as flimsy as cable ties.I am amazed that this rubbish gets so many positive reviews.Either people never used proper calipers or are happy with accuracy of 1mm?I don't expect amazing quality for 10 quid. But idea of calipers is too measure with accuracy much better than 1mm.Otherwise why bother?Just use the rule. You can get much better for 13 quid from tool shops in London.
