How do you connect it up between the top pond and bottom pond?

Mine just sits with the bottom lip over the pond, . Gravel packed around looks great. I have rocks at the top hiding the pump water pipe.

I'm new to setting up a pond so please excuse if this is a stupid question but how does the water circulate from the pond up the back of the waterfall

Via a pump we have r filter up hi in a rockery and plants so its hidden pump takes water from pond through filter out of the filter via a pipe to the fall back into the pond

Can this be fixed to a wall ?

Depends how you want to fix it - silicon probably but wouldn’t risk anything else personally
