You can use the SK01 while it is plugged in and charging, and connect the source via AUX IN. Or use a 5V 1.5A/2A adapter to charge it fully and unplug it when in use

If both its line out and headphone jack are connected to the headphones and amplifier, which output takes priority?

The design allows both the line output and headphone output to play the same audio simultaneously. To exclusively use the headphones, it's necessary to disconnect the line out

The tone-control knobs are not working?

Please check if the TONE button is set to PURE mode. PURE is the mode where the signal bypasses the tone circuit. Switching to TONE mode should enable the tone adjustment.
