These nest boxes have been a saving Grace for me as this summer My chickens have suffered so baldly with mites, to the point that I burnt their coop.I have them now in a stone out building at night and these hard plastic nest boxes have been great, I can easily clean them every week and mites won’t and can’t live in any cracks, My chickens are very happy laying in them. I bought 3 and worth every penny.

This is the second one of these I’ve bought for my hen run. The first one was purchased several years ago and is as good as when it was new. I got a second one because my ladies seem to prefer laying their eggs in them rather than the nest box in their coop! The ‘poultry palace’ is robust and easy to clean. It’s also sufficiently heavy not to be affected by strong wind.

Hens like them. Do the job. Easy to clean. No red mite. Can be inside the hen house or out in a run with a roof. If they are under £30 I’d advise you to get them. If they are over £30, I’d advise shoppimg around and watching to see if the price comes down.

Ideal product for my hens, arrival was slow but as described, packaged well and arrived in perfect condition.

We use this in the hen’s pen for daytime laying. Waterproof and easy to clean. Light and sturdy.
