Inexpensive way to transform your car to a completely wireless and hands free device
This brought my 08 Mazda 6 on to a whole new level. No more fumbling with and aux cord and clean crisp CD like sound. I don't like when I try to change a track it jumps like 3 ahead every time so I have to reach over to the phone to do that. And noticed also that the aux portion of the device does work and the wired microphone sucks and is a bother. But I fixed that by using an old bluetooth head set which allows me to make and answer phone calls and ask Google and Alexa to do stuff for me. And one other complaint. When I get back into my car sometimes I have to reconnect which is a pain in the a**

Updated my RX8 to a usable radio
I was skeptical how easily this would install and work on my RX8. I am quite pleased with it now that it installed. It provides a great modernization to my 20 year old radio, and is totally invisible as it integrates with the stock head unit behind the dash.

Will (Mostly) Work w/ Miata NC Bose Systems
Good:In a Miata MX-5 NC (2006-2009) installed the unit in the dash under the radio and above the 12V jack, perfect fit. Hooked the unit up to a AUX/USB Extension Mounting Jack which I installed in the dash. Sound quality is much better than a FM-Frequency type unit that plugs into the 12V jack. The USB jack also acts as a 1A in / 500Ma out charger, but best to use a 12V charger in the car's 12V jack for fastest charging.Bad:Instructions could be better.Included card reader is **extremely cheap**, didn't last a week: Spend $10 and get a good one. Can't use it in Miatas having the 6-CD Changer. For Miatas, the unit hooks into the empty CD-Changer plug in the rear of the radio, so media cards are limited to 500 songs (5 x 100 songs): The media card can only have 6 folders named "CD1" through "CD6" with songs prefaced with 00 thru 99 in each folder. Do not have any other folders on the card and if using a Mac computer to write to the card be sure to empty the Trash before using the card with the Unit, otherwise it will try to play songs in the Trash. If skipping to the next song doesn't work let the current song play about 5-8 seconds before skipping (this could be caused by the card reader, but I haven't checked)The unit is not ApplePlay compatible: To use my iPods I plugged the power cable into a 12V charger in the car's 12V jack, plugged an AUX cable from the headphone jack to the AUX input, and used the controls on the iPod, using the radio's volume control. Suspect iPhones would use the car's 12V power and Bluetooth, with the radio's volume control.

Easy upgrade for your MIATA MX-5 2008
I was a bit hesitant that it would work with my MX-5 because of the BOSE speakers disclaimer, but it works just fine. Now I can listen to my favorite music in my Miata through the car speakers using Alexa-auto. Phone calls work well too!

Product as described
My son installed this for me and it works great. I gave it a 4 for "ease of use" because I have a hard time getting it to connect. It might be a "ME" thing.

Stopped connecting to the phone after a few days.
Easy to install, first time I used it, connected right away and worked with my phone. After the third time I started the car, the car will now just show "EX" when pressing CD mode, but it no longer shows anything else where before when it worked it would show track numbers on the display. Shows connected via bluetooth on my phone, but will not play any audio through the radio. 2005 Rx8, non-bose. Radio version is 9.73 which shows as supported by this page.
