I used them for deadlifting for about a year before I upgraded to urethane bumpers, and they still look like new. None of the metal center inserts have come loose, although I'm not doing any rough overhead drops. The pros: because they are made of crumb rubber they are very soft. You can drop them on a lot of surfaces and move them around without damaging and scratching things. They also are relatively quit when you put them down or drop them. The cons: like all crumb rubber, the plates are way wider than cast iron plates or even urethane bumpers. This means that if you have bars with short sleeves you wont be able to fit a lot of weight on the bar. Compared to iron, it is also quite a bit more difficult to move the 45 lb plates around and get them on and off the bar, as they are about 4 inches wide and have no handle. This is always an issue with crumb rubber though and is not specific to this product. I eventually upgraded to urethane bumpers for the convenience and because I prefer to use bars with short sleeves. But these were a great starter set and I could have been happy with them for a long time. Overall, they are a great value if you are looking to get a lot of weight per dollar. Review: Smell dissipates after a few days - These are great. Perfect for my new olympic bar and squat cage, and deadlift-fri3ndly! Yes. They smell a bit. It goes away in a few days. ## Features - Made of high density rubber with solid stainless steel inserts that can withstand repeated drops and won't damage your floors. - Compatible with all 2" Olympic barbells, trap deadlift bars and sled with a 2" diameter. Perfect for my new olympic bar and squat cage, and deadlift-fri3ndly! Yes. They smell a bit. It goes away in a few days. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid investment *by A***R on March 4, 2026* Great bumper plates. Look exactly like the image. The slot for the barbell is solid, really well made and great vibrant colors. Will be purchasing again when I 'outgrow' this one set. ## Frequently Bought Together - Zoomster Bumper Plate Olympic Weight Plate Bumper Weight Plate with Steel Insert Strength Training Weight Lifting Plate - CAP Barbell Olympic Bars | Multiple options - Clout Fitness Olympic Barbell Clamps Collars Quick Release Pair of Locking Weight Clips Fit 2 Inch Barbell for Weightlifting --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/576614837-2-inch-bumper-plate-olympic-weight-plate-high-bounce](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/576614837-2-inch-bumper-plate-olympic-weight-plate-high-bounce) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-11-08*
