can this easily attach to a metal bed frame? Is the height adjustable?

Yes it can attach to a metal frame. I actually purchased the zinus brackets and smart base. The headboard is pretty light weight and is adjustable. Just know that a set of screws were already screwed into the headboard. I had to unscrew to adjust to my liking. Put it together in about 10. Great product got it for my 16 yr old!

Can this be attached directly to the wall instead of the bed frame?

I would be able to attach mine to the wall. I thought about doing that with mine but decided to attach it to the bed so I have the ability to easily change the room around.

Will fit any full size bed frame? Or does the bed frame have to be zinus also?

I bought the queen. It fit my queen sized frame that I bought from another retailer. I guess as long as your frame has the brackets with holes to attach the headboard to the frame, it will work regardless of brand.

Can I use bolts provided, or must I purchase brackets?

I used the bolts provided with brackets
