I have yet to use it during a physical activity but have been using with the standard stationary breathing exercises and have noticed a big improvement in my breathing stamina. I was a smoker for years and really did a number on my stamina. I quit 3 years ago and just thought I did irreversible damage and I would just have to deal with my breathing the way it was.
