2 inch concrete boring bit SDS
Arrived on time. I used it this morning 7/16/2025. It was slow going as I expected but it did indeed work just fine. I followed instructions to not use the hammer mode on my drill and went slow and steady. At times I had to move it around in the hole a little to get past hard areas. This was drilling through a concrete curb. A lot of work but well worth the cost and effort. Bored a beautiful hole for what it’s worth.

Did the job through 3 in face brick no problem
This Really Works! I was skeptical for the price, and coming from China via Amazon. This is something that none of the big box stores had a available. In the past I would have to use a 3/8 this masonry bit as a guide followed by air chissel to make a hole for wiring or plumbing through brick or block. Ugly but effective. Also very time consuming. This bored a clean 1 1/8 hole with ease. If there is a complaint it would be that there is no pilot with this. Instructions suggest starting at a 15 degree angle then come to 90 degrees. It takes a small bit of practice but the technique works. In this case, the hole was for a new outdoor silcock on my house. Very clean installation appearance. There was no suggestion or reference to a hammer drill. A competing ( and far more expensive ) boring drill company said DO NOT use hammer drill mode as it could damage the cutting tips. I used my 3/8 Dewalt hammer drill in the DRILL mode only and found that it cut through very nicely. I wouldn't say like butter, more like hardwood with a dull bit.Bottom line for me is this is a real winner. I suspect that I could easily bore several more masonry holes without difficulty. This was $38 well spent! The last hole I had to make for wiring,I almost never give any review 5 stars but the work and effort it saved me deserves 5 stars! Even if it was for one hole!!

Works Quickly and Priced Fair.
This Core Bit worked absolutely great. It cut through red brick with ease. It worked as described. I used it to install a mini-split air conditioner and it worked better than I expected. It took 5mins total to drill through the brick. The price was more than fair and the quality is good. Over all I am very satisfied with the purchase and use of this Core Bit. I highly recommend.

One time use....almost
I was using this core drill to core a whole through a filled section of concrete block. I was taking it slow and easy with a Bosch corded hammer drill, and about 5 inches into the 12 inch core the bit siezed in the hole. When I pulled it back one tooth was broke off. This happened 2 more times. By the time I got about 10 inches in I had 1 tooth left. I chiseled out the center and I finished with a diamond hole saw since the deepest part was done. I know it wasn't an expensive bit, but I did expect it to be around for another couple of cores after this.

Cut through the length of a brick
Used to cut through the length of a brick. That was the orientation of my wall. Getting started was tricky since there is no pilot bit. I started on an edge until a semicircle was formed then lined up for the full cut. A tooth was broken off during the cut, but it kept going. I didnt know until the cut was done. Overall worked well. Glad I purchased it.

Worked great on 9" foundation.
The media could not be loaded. This diamond core drill bit worked great to drill two holes through a 9" concrete foundation. I need to relocate the oil fill and whistle pipes for our oil tank and was going to have someone drill the holes in addition to repiping. The cost of drilling was very high so I decided to do it myself with this bit and a $50 1/2 drill I picked up. The drill bit was really great and I got both holes drilled in just over an hour. I had never used this type of bit before so didn't know what I was in for, but this bit worked great and I'm very happy with the results. Saved a lot of money doing it myself and now have a 1/2 inch drill and coring bit for future projects. Nice, high quality bit. Comes with two adapters. I'm not sure if you can use this with a hammer drill or not. Read the description thoroughly to see. Also, if you haven't done this before, the bit will (like any bit) bind at times and with a high torque drill will spin the drill violently, so be careful how you hold it. Don't use your belly to press the drill. The bit also does not require water, but water helped to clear out the dust from the hole which seemed to keep things moving along more smoothly and faster, though the hollow core bit does have slots to let the dust fall out. Really happy I was able to use this to do these holes myself.

Worked great
Arrived next day for emergency job and it did its duty and punched our 1.5" PVC sump pump pipe through a cinder block wall in about 3 minutes. Nice looking sturdy tool. No issues.
