YAKAON No Tie Shoelaces, 4 Pairs Waterproof Silicone Rubber Sneaker Shoelaces

Somehow I did not notice that these shoes had laces when I bought them. My daughter somehow has not learned how to tie her shoes, and double knots do not seem to withstand the day with her. So the result is she just hasn’t worn the shoes. It’s been a waste until now. I replaced the traditional shoelaces with these silicone laces. Although the package says this size is for adults, these worked fine in her size 13 shoes. I didn’t use all eight laces, however. I used five with the largest three left over. The eyelet holes in her shoes were a little small, probably smaller than they would be in adult shoes. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to feed the ends and converting to these was a breeze. I have three more sets of silicone laces that came in this pack. I’m planning on using one set and a pair of my own shoes, and the additional two to use another time. It was cheaper to get this set of four than just one or two, which is no problem because we will use them!

Overall, I like these no-tie shoelaces. The quality seems good, my son likes the color options, and they should be easy to clean. The only issue I had was with a pair of Sketchers. The holes on my son’s size 2 were too small for the laces. In order to get them in, I had to use a pair of pliers to pull each one through. This wasn’t an issue with his Converse and I could easily pull them through with my fingers. Just a word of warning that the laces may work better for some shoes than others.

I was unsatisfied with this product. I researched and researched for some tieless laces for my 6 year old's shoes. I ended up buying these. When I read the reviews, I swear people were saying they bought these for their kids. When you open the package, it says right on the thing "for adults". Well, I used the smaller ones to see if they would work on my son's shoes, and it made it so tight, he couldn't slip them on. So then I tried to take them off, and couldn't get them back out, I think I tried for maybe like 30 minutes, then I finally gave up and had to cut them off. Desperate for him to be able to wear the shoes he wanted to, to school, I then I tried some of the bigger sizes, however, I just ended up getting the same result. Installing them was a nightmare, I had to use a mini screw driver just to get them in the holes, and then I couldn't get them back out. I read that they were tough to install, but I didn't realize HOW tough. Now I have gone through two packs, and neither worked, so now I have to spend more money to find another solution. Waste of money and time. Disappointing.

Ehh. They worked great for my grandmas sneakers, Keds & Sketchers. She has lost dexterity in her fingers, so tying her laces was impossible. However, she had the open holes for the laces. We tried other sneakers, like Air Jordan’s for a disabled child’s shoe & the shoes had loops for the laces. These no tie options did not stay with the loops. I’d buy them again, but 4 pairs was enough for me!

These are 100% game changers for children with autism or who struggle with fine motor skills. It makes it so they can still wear cute shoes, independently. The color variety in this set is great. It is easy to put them in shoes and they last for longer than I expected. I’m impressed! If my child is running, I still prefer laced shoes so they can be really snug but these are great for everything else.

Hard to fit into childrens shoe hole inlets, but great once set.

These work great for my 4 year old grandson! He can easily slip on his shoes and his shoes stay put.
