Similarly when getting up off the chair it would slide back quite quickly and was bordering on the dangerous. Saw these on Amazon and they arrived next day through the Prime service. The gliders were so easy to fit with the job being done in five minutes. They appear substantial and I now have a safe chair. I bought new wheels for it with allegedly soft TP rubber, to prevent damage to my hardwood floor, but the TP rubber was very hard and the wheels dented the floor.These gliders are the answer. They have a nice broad base and when fitted with stick on felt pads, they will do no damage.
