With the podiatry service closed during lockdown, I need to look after my elderly mother's toenails myself. They are very thick, and ordinary toe nail clippers simply don't work on them - they don't open wide enough, and also cause the nails to split and crumble. I was rather put off by the price of these, but decided anything was worth a try ... I chose this "end on" design as I sit facing my mother, and "ordinary style clippers" are very awkward to use from that angle. These are fantastic, and well worth the money! Because of their shape, it is easy to cut my mother's nails to the correct shape; and the blades really do slice through her thickened nails like a hot knife through butter, without causing any flaking, either. The thick, non slip handles are comfortable to hold and manipulate. The blades are VEEY sharp. The thick plastic blade cover and lined storage tin mean I'm not worried about my mother accidentally injuring herself on them in the cupboard. In fact, I've been so impressed by these tie nail clippers that undecided to get a "normal style" pair for myself (as I'm the opposite side of my own toe nails!). I have several thickened nails, and my old clippers struggle to cut them without causing splitting and flaking; increasingly, I haven't been able to cut the three worst affected mails. I was slightly worried that I was wasting my money - but in fact, they completely lived up to my expectations. For the first time in several years, I was able to cut cleanly through each nail, without damaging it. Just don't stab yourself with the pointy end!!! If you're hesitating about the price - don't! They are worth their weight in gold, and I thoroughly recommend them.

I have this clippers for two years and still hope to change it because covered paint start removing. Just one problem, it’s still amazing working.

Great scissors for cutting toenails. My husbands old pair broke that he had had for years so I got him these and we was very happy. They come with a plastic cover to go over the sharp part. Easy to hold and use.
