Excellent Fabric Stiffner

Does what it says
Powertex is a very strong fabric stiffener. The pieces I needed to stiffen had to retain the shape I put them in and be self-standing and after using Powertex the dried pieces were hard enough to maintain shape and stand alone without an armature. I used a clear Powertex which gave a sheen to the pieces - although I didn't expect this, it worked well with the work. The ivory coloured Powertex I used gave the pieces a more plaster/stone look. I was very pleased with that too. The thing is trial and error to see what works best for the things you want to make but I was very pleased with the way this product stiffens fabric and doesn't bleach the colour of the material.

Good price
Purchased this for various projects I wanted to carry out. Good size for the price and hopefully I’ll get plenty of use on other projects when I get the time.

Strong colours come through
I love using powertex, but this was only my second time using the ivory. I was using it over some blue and pink fabrics and the colour underneath still showed through a bit. The bronze version totally blots out material colour.

We use this in an Adult Art Group. The quantity is small and quite expensive. Used to be able to buy a bucket!
