Is this the same as MiraLax?

I've taken it for years. It's EXACTLY the same as Miralax. Exactly. Ask your doctor or pharmacist. It's a very simple, inert chemical. There's no "medicine" in Miralax. It's a simple compound that absorbs and holds water in your system. It's the only product truly safe for long term use.
