One of the funnest builds I’ve done in a long time! I loved it, though it was trickier to decipher the instructions compared to more reputable brands. The glowing eye pice doesn’t work great, but the detail and size is just what I wanted. Very happy with my purchase!

We bought this for a birthday gift for a friend’s 7 year old. It was a big hit and he loved it! It was a decent price and saved me a trip to the store.

The tower is wobbly because it's not built up with bricks, it's mostly connection pieces. It's a nice off brand Barad Dur, but so, so small (it fits inside a cube of a 9 cube organizer). The book feature is a nice touch, but some pieces consistently pop out or are intentionally unconnected, so it feels somewhat sloppy. It is Lego compatible, which is nice.

Fun build. Looks good as a display. Top tower can be removed. I used it for a Christmas tree topper and easy to reinstall.

If you understand what you're getting, this is not a bad set. You're not paying the Lego price, so you're not going to get Lego quality. The bricks are sometimes difficult to snap together, and the instructions are not nearly as clear as Lego instructions. They often don't make sense, and in many cases the order that you put things together is not logical, creating issues. There were a number of times during the build where I had to tear my recent work apart and redo it because there was something unclear about placement or because it just made more sense to do things in a different order.The set is almost 1,000 pieces, and it is only separated into three stages, so there are a LOT of pieces in each stage and since most all of them are black and many are very small, you can expect to do a lot of hunting and sorting for the right piece. I was missing one piece close to the end of the build, but luckily it was a minor cover piece that I was able to place to the back so you can't really tell the difference. The light-up brick under the eye worked for about two seconds when I first clicked it on, then stopped. There doesn't seem to be any way to turn it on or off, so I guess it's just DOA. The marble that is the eye also just kind of rolls around on the stick on top and is not secured. There were a few pieces where I had to break out the Kraggle to get them to stay together.All in all, it was a fairly easy build, though sometimes frustrating. The finished project looks good at a small fraction of the price of the Lego version and taking up a much smaller footprint to display. I'd recommend it as long as you understand what you're getting.

My son loves it. He loves building, so it was perfect.

We need one more of this piece. We can’t return the original because it’s been assembled half way and the box was thrown away. How can we get this piece sent to us?

My son absolutely loved putting this together. Perfect item for him as he just now starting to put together bigger Lego sets.
