This kit is half of what you need for the front of your go kart, the rest of the front suspension is also available as a kit.The steering wheel is silver painted steel with a dense rubber rim, and mounts to the hub with 3 Allen bolts.It includes a plastic fake horn button style center cap.The wheel hub shaft has 2 bearings. The hub tube is to be welded to your frame and the 2 bearings press-fit into the tube. Then the one snap ring is placed on the steering wheel hub shaft near the wheel, the shaft slips into the bearings, and a second snap ring secures the assembly at the base.The intermediate shaft fits between the steering wheel hub and rack/pinion, and the u-joints are staked in.Splines easily slip together and are secured with a pinch bolt.The Rack/Pinion is slightly under 1 full turn lock to lock, an excellent ratio for go kart use. That gives you 1/2 turn for left and right. Both of the inner tie rod ends are right hand thread, both of the outer tie rod ends are left hand thread, this allows easy alignment setting without removing the tie rod end. You will need to supply you own clamps to secure the rack to your frame, those are not included.The quality of the kit is good, but I don't think the price point is competitive. This kit is identical to other offerings that are considerably cheaper. If you can get it with a coupon, on sale, or prime promo then go for it, and don't forget to buy the control arm and spindle kit too.I hope my review and video was helpful to you !!
