I love these candles. 8 hours on, 16 hours off. Warm white, non-flickering 'flame'. I have 1in ever window and a few in every room of the house. They look great from outside, make great night lights inside; perfect for blackouts. They are not bright enough to read by but you can certainly see around the room. Even great on the dinner table (although I prefer the yellow flickering 'flame' for dinner). If I buy good batteries, the candle lasts over 3 months but it does dim over time. I change the window batteries about every 3 to 3.5 months and the candles in the rooms about every 2 to 2.5 months. Uses 2 AA batteries. I use yellow flickering 'flame' in the windows for Christmas. Flickering 'flame' uses up the batteries faster than steady 'flame'.

These work well. I was looking for some dusk-to-dawn window candles to replace the much more expensive ones I got from a store 10 years ago. These work just as well at less than half the price. The non-flickering light is white and can be seen from the street. I would've preferred a more yellow/flame-colored light, but the candles look nice and work well.

Wow, I could not disagree with the other reviews here more. The light from these candles is extremely dim and what I would consider to be more blue than warm. I could not see them from a third of the way down my driveway, much less from the street. Very disappointing. I do not recommend in the least.

Hi, I was hoping to use these candles with rechargeable batteries. Most rechargeable batteries deliver 1.2 volts as opposed to 1.5 volts for new Alkaline batteries. I loaded up ten candles with fully charged Sanyo eneloop NICH Batteries. 5 Candles were bright enough to use with the rechargeable batteries. 4 of the remaining candles were too dim for use. The last remaining candle was very dim and had a yellowish green tint to it. I ended up using new Alkaline Batteries in the 5 dim candles. The candle with a yellowish green tint was used in a window in the back of the house. Anyway, tonight is the first night the candles are on. I'll cross my fingers to see if the batteries last anywhere near 700 hours (= 87 days x 8 hours/day).

I bought these candles to go in the windows of my house for Christmas. I turned them all on at the same time (around 415pm) and the timer worked perfectly. They were brought enough to see from the street and lasted the whole holiday season. I turned them on in late November, turned them off on January 1, and they still have the same batteries in them waiting for next year. One candle in my preschoolers' room got dropped on the ground numerous times and is still burning strong. Very impressed.

I liked and am still using this product. It works well and, for the price, is exactly what I needed. The only negative is that I purchased 2 sets of 10, and 5 of the 20 candles are a yellowy shade vs. soft white - the other 15 are soft white. It is a noticeable difference, but not so much at a distance (our home sits back off the road). I placed the 5 yellow ones in locations where they wouldn't be obvious. Getting ready to order 12 more in hopes that I will have the 18 I need in the same hue. Still a good price and a decent product.

They are easy to place and use, but the colour and glow from these is dim and not a warm tone AT ALL. They are bluish-white and in some cases VERY VERY dim. Out of the 10 I bought, two are almost so dim and grey looking (if a light can actually be grey) that I’m not even sure they are even worth putting in a window. My house looks nothing like the warm, cozy Christmas picture I was imagining, but I spent $70 on these so I guess I’m stuck with the creepy-cold, dark house look. I would not buy this brand again, though the wire-less situation is still preferable and they work mostly fine.

All ten are in my windows. Very bright. Did not get with remote control. We will see about durability as the Christmas seasons go forward
