My 1st observation is that it is not Audio Transparent as described on the website. The only bit that is audio transparent is the black mesh at the bottom. No other part let's the audio through. Also on first use as it was raising it made a lot of noise as it was unrolling, like it was stuck together. At one point I thought it was going to rip apart. My previous 100" AWOL screen didn't do it. Another thing I noticed was when it was up and I hadn't close the window blind behind the screen. When the daylight shone through it it looked like someone had sprayed the back of the screen with something but had not done a good job as it was very patchy. Again my 100" screen didn't have that on it either. I will have to tweak a few settings on my projector as it doesn't seem to look as good as my previous screen. It's like the contrast is not quite right. As they are identical apart from size I would expect the picture to be identical. I might update this review if I find it just needs to be adjusted slightly.

The screen itself is excellent but on having it for a week, I have noticed ripples on the bottom left and right of the screen, which is noticeable I did however contact AWOL and they came back to me within a couple of hours by email and once they verified I had the screen, they said they would send out some tension strips that would solve the issue. Not arrived yet as they coming from california but hopefully this will resolve the issue. Excellent customer services and quick feedback from AWOL although the issue should not have been present in the first place. Update: Tension strips arrived (4 of them) and fixing 1 either side at the bottom of the screen fixed the issue.

I have tried a variety of screens over time and finally gave up and just used the wall as it was easier in apartments. My latest place has the worst walls so I started searching again and I found this beauty on sale. It arrived in a very long box that took a while to unload and unpack the screen. However, once it was in place, everything was easy - the fob for the projector has worked every time to open or close the projector depending on if it is on or off. I haven't hooked it up to my UPS yet with other devices, I wanted to wait and see what happened during a power outage with the screen open vs closed. The screen itself is the best I've ever seen and works both during the day and at night. I had some helpers over to help with a monitor and they were asking questions about the screen and liked it as well. The only downside is that it is a bit noisy when it rises into place and returns to the case. However, it doesn't take that long but something to be aware of if you have neighbors.

The claims about ALR are greatly exaggerated. If you have a window without blinds, and the sun coming in, you won't be able to see anything. During nighttime, a white wall is actually better than using this screen. It is useful in modest light settings, like early in the morning or when it starts to get "just a bit" dark or during days without sun. And even here, it's probably not worth the price. I would not recommend it because of the price. Any cheaper screen will have a better price/quality ratio.. Photos: 1. I was superbly pleased when menu aspects and features of this projector screen! First, it arrived and essentially operating right out of the box! Not many things come this way anymore! Second, the smoothness quietness that it rises up with is impressive to say the least. To me, it’s somehow an enjoyable whirring as the screen raises end lowers. Clearly made well and a premium product as promised. Lastly, the picture on this is top notch I have owned several ELITE brand screens that were nearly as expensive as the one, but they all paled in comparison to this beauty! The ALR is crazy good. I didn’t even realize what I was missing out on! DYING to try th AWOL short throw projector - hopefully soon!

I am no a/v expert, but I think this screen is amazing! I wanted something in my family room that would disappear when not needed. I have it placed in front of a large window that I didn't want blocked when not watching tv or a movie. I am using it with the AwolVision 2500 UST projector and have no trouble viewing even during the day and with lights on. I purchased the 3D glasses and watched Disney's A Christmas Carol and felt like I was in a movie theater. I also want to give customer service 5 stars, as they were very responsive when I contacted them. I am now anxiously awaiting the vision station I ordered from AwolVision at the end of November!
