It’s big, but not so big that you can’t strap it to the outside of a pack. You are definitely sacrificing some weight and packability in exchange for comfort though. But I am 6ft 5” and 100kg and it is long enough, wide enough and supportive enough for me. Seems very durable, have used 3 or 4 times and showing no signs of it. I tested it first in my basement (12C) and then in the garden in 6C and 11C. It was warm enough, but not as warm as Dutch Army 18mm mat, where you can feel warm being reflected from your body to the mat and back. In case of Multimat Self Inflatable product, there was no reflection of warm like this.I never used Self inflatable products before, but found it a hassle to wait for it to inflate itself and then top up to make it harder. Also packing it was more effort than standard foam mat or normal inflatable mattress. I had to roll it and unroll it couple of times to get rid of the air from self inflatable mat. Foam mat is easy to unroll and roll in a moment. Standard inflatable mattress is quick to use as well, you use pump and it's done.In the end, I decided to return Multimat and buy another Dutch Army 18mm mat, which is much cheaper, but effective in low temperatures.
