An extra early variety. Vines are seldom over 3' long. Great for small gardens. Fruits are round, 3-4" in diameter with a high sugar content. Yummy, thick golden-yellow flesh inside. Their incredible scent will tell you when they are ripe. Eat them right to the rind! Melons prefer a warm site with sandy soil. For transplants, start indoors 3 weeks before last frost date. Do not disturb tender roots when transplanting. Easy to start outdoors 2 weeks after last frost when soil has completely warmed. A black plastic mulch will hasten maturity. Perfect size for trellising and container growing, too.
