OXO SteeL Vertical Lever Corkscrew with Removable Foil Cutter, Silver, 18.7 x 18.7 x 6.1 cm 11147600UK

I have had a number of modern cork screws with varying degrees of success. I tried this one because it had good reviews and I like it. One secret is to make certain the lever goes up slightly the other side of centre as there is a slightly tight spot at the top. By going right over centre, it removes the cork successfully and with much less effort than the Rabbit type units. The foil cutter works well too.

Quite the best lever corkscrew I have had. Very solid and simple to use.

... and it looks a robust build. Should last a lot longer than the similar prodcut I had before.

First impressions, being used to a much smaller, entirely effective and now rather old pocketable lever-type cork remover, was that this is huge! It certainly looks impressive and a kind of millionaire's item! It certainly seems to be very well designed and strongly made, although a couple of long-term reviews have suggested otherwise. I've been using it only a week and, so far, it looks as if it will last well. In use, once lined up, as the instructions show, it is extremely easy to use, neatly cutting through the foil while pulling the cork out with utter ease. It would make a wine lover a very posh gift, and, although far from cheap, looks a million dollars and works impressively well.

Great Product and compact for storage.

Brilliant! If you have manual dexterity problems, removing corks can pose a major problem. The screwing action puts major stresses on the wrist joints, and the pulling action takes lower arm strength. This great gadget gets round this and removes corks quickly and easily with the minimum of strain. I like the cutter for cutting through the metal foil....an action that often drives me to distraction.

This is a superb corkscrew. It is very easy to use, it cuts the foil and it pops the cork out with almost no effort. It even releases the cork, for those with the willpower not to finish a whole bottle. Like many of these corkscrews it comes with a spare corkscrew as they do tend to wear with prolonged use. Overall, excellent...

Looked good, but found it tricky to use, sadly

Good product

This was great. Easy to use and smooth operation. Surprised close friends during a couple parties! That's a bonus.

I've bought so many similar products but this one works perfectly every time, effortlessly and uncomplicated. Far better than the rabbit
