The pads originally supplied with my Grado SR80 headphones had deteriorated with use and UV-light exposure. These replacement pads fit well and improve comfort.

I was not going to do a review for these, as they are a fairly inexpensive item, but I was so shocked at the quality that I have to give a shout out.First of all, we all know how generic and flimsy the original Grado pads are. Very delicate; I have already replaced them twice before. Knowing how the originals (and many replacements) have a tendency to pull apart and end up getting so loose that they fit like a soiled diaper, my expectations were not too high.I was pleasantly surprised by how airy yet dense the foam is. They fit more snugly than the originals (or the replacements that I have tried). They are VERY comfortable (for me anyway), and I just can't stress enough how nice it is to not have the old loose pads pinned to my ears.That said, I do feel that the overall mix quality suffers some (albeit slightly); I feel like the signature Grado flatness is a little lost. It isn't terrible, but it is noticeable. Especially if you are listening to your mix with pads on, then off for comparison.SO, if you are mixing/mastering, maybe skip the leatherette outer covers. For durability though, and for just listening to music, they should prove to lengthen the lifespan of the foam under pads. If these were my only headphones, and I had to rely on them for mastering, I'd skip the outers for SURE.Since I have 5 other pairs of headphones, and I just use my Grados for listening these days, I will keep the whole double pad thing going. Mainly because it is much easier to keep leatherette clean that it is foam, and I am about 99.999% sure that these won't need replaced anytime soon with both parts installed.They are totally worth the money. For sure. I would recommend these to Grado owners without hesitation.

Je voulais utiliser ces coussins de rechange pour un vieux casque Grado SR60. Malheureusement ils ne s'adaptent pas. Après vérification sur Internet, c'est le constructeur qui a changé la forme des coussins sans changer le nom du modèle, et ces coussins de rechange s'adapteraient effectivement aux modèles SR60 récents.C'est plus la faute du constructeur Grado qui change des choses sans changer le nom du modèle que celui du fabricant de coussins de rechange, mais une remarque sur l'année d'achat du casque pour avoir la compatibilité aurait été appréciée.En conclusion, faite attention si votre casque est très vieux, vérifiez la conception de vos coussins existants avant de commander ceux-ci.

Not so comfortable as described

I have a grado sr80x and these fit tight and sound great. With or without my ifi dac, your can feel the bass. Highly recommend 👌
