Hilarious comedy, well worth a watch if you like "naked gun" or "airplane" type humour!
Hilarious comedy, well worth a watch if you like "naked gun" or "airplane" type humour! You have to watch closely because there are pretty much CONSTANT gags going on in the background throughout the entire film (such as 3 flying humans landing on a giant pigeon statue, and going to the toilet on it!) which will have you rolling around on the floor, so don't just stare at the actors in the forground or you will miss out on loads! Highly recommended! I would have given 4.5 but it wont let me, and I reserve 5* for my top to films of all time.

An Absolute Classic!!
I'm not the first guy who fell in love with a woman that he met at a restaurant who turned out to be the daughter of a kidnapped scientist, only to lose her to her childhood lover who she last saw on a deserted island, who then turned out fifteen years later to be the leader of the French underground......I know. It all sounds like some bad movie.

Really funny and crude.
This film is so funny, did not stop laughing from start to finish. Val Kilmer first film and did great and even sang in it. Val is a famous singer and is asked to go behind the iron curtain as it was known then to perform, but gets caught up in a spy top secret which includes a kidnapped scientist. The daughter of the scientist is helped by Val and a group to free her father. Along the way she meets up with an old friend who turns out to be a spy. One part the friend and a colleague dress as a cow to sneak into a castle where the scientist is being held but comes across a randy bull, guess what happenes. If you need a really good laugh I recommend this film, daft but funny.

Very funny film that is underrated.
This film was brought to us by the writers of airplane. Top Secret has some incredible visual comedy, verbal comedy and should not be missed. It was a massive flop when realised and it’s impossible to understand why. If you’re into extremely silly comedy this one is for you.Frazzle

ok so some film critics say " where is the ending?" I had seen this on telly years and years ago, i liked the Airplane/Police Squad films and this is one from that stable. i had videoed it from a broadcast years ago but subsequently lost the tape. i needed a copy. so online and got it at a very reasonable price. some references may be missed by UK audience members, The runaway military vehicle rear-ending at a very slow speed a Ford Pinto. this car was not a triumph of marketing or design, the word Pinto in southern America means a male reproductive organ which is small, so no self respecting macho south American would be likely to buy it, the other problem was that it did indeed catch fire if rear-ended in an accident, if such an accident happened the red hot exhaust pipe would pierce the fuel tank and the car would catch a fire. i played the disc and for the first five minutes i hadnt noticed that it was playing in Spanish. part of the jokes are that incongruous situations abound,,i remembered the Swedish bookseller ( played by Peter Cushing) was speaking backwards so it sounds "foreign" anyway. its supposed to be East Germany, but the military act and are in the uniforms of Nazis. the country has an active French resistance . and there is a reference to the film "Lagoon" whats not to like?

Brilliant
Before Val Kilmer went mental, he made this. It was superb and very much in the Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker mould. If you love Police Squad!, Naked Gun, Loaded Weapon 1 or Hot Shots! Then you need to see thisPeter Cushing, Omar Sharif and Richard Crenna appear and are amazing

Great Movie!!
I bought this film after seeing a trailer for it on YouTube. It was made by the makers of The Naked Gun and Hot Shots, which are 2 of my favourite films, but I laughed alot at this film. My favourite moments are the 2 men in the cow costume scene, the bit where a black man punches another man off a building, and he smashes like a bottle. I also love the moment where the horse sings in the film, and in particular that sequence at the begining where there's 2 blokes fighting on top of a train, but as one falls off he quickly comes back on again, however when the train is approaching a tunnel; one of the 2 men crass into a bridge while the other one falls onto the raillwaytrack. If there's one film worth watching BUY This, it's Funny!!

Thin on plot, very thick on laughs
If you like Airplane!, you'll love this. Written by Zucker Abrams Zucker, this underrated film was created in a strange way. The writer took all their favourite jokes and wrote a film around them. So while the American rock and roll singer caught up with the French resistance fighting the Nazis plot might seem a little odd, you'll be laughing so hard it won't matter. Whether it's the cow wearing wellies, the underwater old west fight scene or camera tricks playing around with perspective it's all brilliant.Watch out for the scene featuring Vincent Price filmed backwards in one continuous 90 second take.
