Nice gift for granddaughter who enjoys creative activities

I was so impressed with this sketch book! The quality is amazing! For fifteen bucks, I wasn't expecting much. It went above and beyond my expectations.The book itself is very sturdy. It's got one makeup side and one fashion side. There is an example in the beginning of each book showing you what you can do.The fashion side has sketch sheets with a model, where you can trace various articles of clothing on them. There's a space to the side to write notes or add your inspiration, like magazine cutouts. I think it can be as simple (ex just tracing) or as intricate (ex research, prepping, mapping out & designing an outfit) as your child wants it to be.The makeup side has sketch sheets with a woman's face. There's a space to the side where you can plan out your look. There's also a space to include your inspiration. There are also practice sheets with just lips and eyes to experiment with different looks. Just like the fashion side, I think your child can make it as simple or as detailed as they want.I think this is a great idea. It would be perfect for kids who are creative with big imaginations, ones who are into fashion & makeup, or even ones who just like to sketch. The design and layout of this book is awesome. It's great for just playing around and having fun, but the space to map out & plan gives kids the option to really get creative with designing. I love it. Flipping through the books I was beyond impressed. I know my daughter is going to love it. I would most definitely recommend it!A little tip: you can take a picture of the sketch pages or the practice pages before your child does them. Once they've done all the pages, you can print out empty ones over and over so they'll always have pages to sketch on!

I got this for my niece, 9, for Christmas. She's very into "fashion" as a concept - always using scrap materials to design clothes for her Barbies, so this seemed right on the money.And it sure was!She loves designing clothes and she's really into the makeup part. It's very sturdy so not something she's going to destroy immediately - she can even let her younger cousin look without fear of it getting ripped or broken. Lots of pages, lots to do. Slam dunk gift; my daughter (6) is likely going to get one for herself next gift giving holiday, as she's also into "fashion".

My 14 year old teen loves doing makeup and "glow ups," so I thought she would enjoy this makeup and fashion sketch portfolio to explore her artistic talents.However, she feels that coloring in makeup on pages is not as fun as using actual brushes and powders on real faces, so that part of the book she's not enthused about. Still, the fashion pages hold promise as she can use her imagination for designing outfits and exploring colors and accessories, especially since she's not able to sew nor has access to all the fabric she would need to try them out in reality.All in all, she suggests the portfolio is too young for teens and recommends it as a great gift for younger tweens.

This is a pretty good sketch set for fashion and makeup. I like that there are different face shapes and body shapes. It is a good personal but and will be nice as a gift too. Anyone can express their artistic side for fashion and makeup and make these pads their own. I've love the outfits and facial looks that both of my teen girls have sketches so far. It seems well made and has many pages. It also has outlines you can use to get you started as well.

My daughter loves the Fashion Angels sets. This one is really fun because it has both a clothing design side of the book and a makeup side on the other. The fashion design side has both smaller and larger model figures to use to create fashions which I love. The clothes designs could be simple or complicated as the kid wishes depending on their abilities. The makeup side allows them to create different looks and practice shading and blending. It's a great value and a nice design set.

I received this product for free through the Amazon vine program in exchange for an honest review.I gifted this to my 9-year-old daughter for christmas and she is loving it! She also got a small sewing machine. She has been designing outfits in this notebook and then attempting to sew them up (simple things like scarves). She loves coloring the pictures and finding inspiration from watching shows like Sister Sister (those 90 clothes are back in style now after all). She keeps telling me how great it is and how now she is SURE she wants to be a designer when she grows up. We'll see :)

Another great product from Fashion Angels! My daughter loves everything fashion so when she saw this portfolio, she got super excited. The pages on the left have fill in the blank for the date of your design, notes, color swatches and a mannequin to draw your inspired style onto. There are several fashion tracing sheets you can easily use with a light board. The tracing sheets have various styles of clothing that can be traced onto the sheets with different body shapes and sizes.The right side is very similar but its teaches and inspires how to fill in and blend with make-up. Teaching hair styles/color and drawing different lips/eye shapes and sizes as well as eyebrows. This is a all-in-one book for the diva to be that loves all things fashion. Highly Recommend!
