Catechism of the Catholic Church, Revised

I am a Protestant heading for the Catholic Church to convert to Catholic. There simply isn’t anything like this in any of the Protestant Churches. This book is amazing and I love it, it’s very easy to read with literally all the answers you need if you are Catholic, wanting to become Catholic or just want to see what the Catholic Church is all about, it’s literally all here. It’s the perfect size and I plan on giving this a Leather Binding upgrade with tabs for another version of this book sitting on my desk ready to be applied as I do with all my bibles and study bibles to make jumping around the bible a breeze. Get this book.

This version has the best Subject Index and Glossary out of all the Catechisms I've looked at. The index and glossary are thorough, easy to find information and written in layman's English so that you can quickly access the information you need from within the Catechism content. The only down side is that it's fairly large and heavy so it's not great for just throwing in your bag before bible study, etc.

This is the second "Catechism of the Catholic Church" book I buy, but the first one from this vendor. The other one was too small and the print was small. This book is PERFECT. It is bigger than your average book and has a larger print size. As far as the content, I am learning more about my Catholic faith and I love it. This book was recommended by Fr. Mike S and he advises to read it from the beginning to the end, not in sections. It is a must-have book for anyone wanting to learn more about the Catholic faith. I highly recommend this version.

I already have a copy of the Septuagint, the ancient Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures used by Jews in the Hellenistic period and later by early Christians. So grabbing this made perfect sense. It adds context, gives insight into translation choices, and helps you see how these texts influenced early theology.This edition is from Libreria Editrice Vaticana, the Vatican’s official publishing house. They’ve been around since 1926 and are responsible for putting out official Church documents. That gave this a little more weight for me as a study tool.Books like this are usually picked up by folks into theology, Church history, or anyone who wants to understand how different versions of the Bible came together. If you're the kind of person who notices differences in verses and wonders why, this helps clear that up.Well put together, easy to follow, and a solid match for anyone studying the Septuagint. Definitely glad I grabbed it.

Good handbook. Tends to be a bit overwrought.

Catholic or not, everyone should own one. Good reference/guidance for navigating our crazy world.
