Good chains not used yet no snow

Although we have not had snow to test these in, we have had some icy roads and husband was keen to try them out. The chains are easy to install, very adjustable and come with installation tool and gloves. There are 8 chains so plenty to suit your need. Husband reports great traction on a slippery, icy road and he is confident they will act same in snow, but we will test this on our upcoming trip and report back here once back.

Looking nice but I don’t use yet. The box came without spanner and this is unfair, I now can return but I don’t want waste my time, will use some my tools.

Tried one of these on a wheel to see how it fits.They are very durable and strong.Plenty of straps to secure this all around the wheel.Might prove to be very useful if we see snow this time round, and could prove to be essential to stay safe to get home.I have no issues with this and is stores away quite compactly too in the boot.Recommended.

They do feel sturdy and they just about fit my tires which are quite wide, not sure about how they work really as we had no snow yet but I am sure will get to use them at some point .

Easy enough to fit.Made it up hill near house , couldn’t without the straps last snow .Could do with 10 as opposed to 8 as you can. See from picUpdateChanged my mind on those straps after driving to school and back yesterday.It was impossible to tighten them fully due to angle.As I drove they moved and self tightened.This caused damage to the ratchet mechanism meaning it was impossible to slacken the strap . I had to cut them offPoor design unless the gaps in your wheel are of a similar size to the width of the plastic, this would stop them moving like they did on my wheel

Llegaron en 24h, parecen robustas y de sencilla colocación, se ven fuertes, pero habrá que probarlas en nieve, igual este fin de semana las tengo que poner y vuelvo a sacar estrellas :))

Die 10 Teile wurden in einer praktischen kleinen Handtasche geliefert die man gut im Auto unterbringen kann. Die Wirksamkeit im Schnee konnte ich noch nicht überprüfen, da momentan kein Schnee da ist. Aber die Montage habe ich ausprobiert. Bei meinem Auto Frontantrieb. Wer denkt, dass man zur Montage die Räder geradeaus stehen lassen kann und nicht bewegen muss, der irrt sich. Das Einfädeln des Haltegurtes von innen durch die Felge nach außen ist nur gut möglich, wenn die Räder maximal eingeschlagen sind, rechts oder links. Dann muss der Haltegurt durch die metallische Halteklammer gefädelt und festgezurrt werden. Bei kalten Fingern nicht ganz einfach. Bei mehreren Versuchen faserte das Gurt Endstück stark aus, so dass man den Gurt nicht mehr einfädeln kann. Ich habe dann zuhause alle 10 Gurte umgearbeitet, die Endstücke glatt und schmaler abgeschnitten und mit der offenen Flamme eines Gasanzünders stabilisiert und gehärtet. Nun funktioniert die Montage problemlos. Allerdings, schneller und einfacher als bei meinen Metall-Schneeketten geht es auch nicht. Mal sehen, wie es beim Einsatz im Schnee aussieht. Ich ergänze den Bericht dann entsprechend.
